500S Shrike Aero Commander HD Series for FSX | P3D

I use the Carenado setup for the GTN750 in the dash. I ran the F! config tool to get a second unit to work. For some reason I can not get the stack to show up or the second unit to work. Has anyone worked on thee panel config to get a second GTN to work? Dick

Any one find a 1/2 desent sound pack for this conversion out there ? I've looked -tried one but was no good and didn't match .

Birthdays are extra special as you get older (i.e., grateful for each one!) As a retiree I can't spend much on my flightsim hobby, but I was able to get the Shrike (my all-time favorite) for Father's Day, and I soon turn 68, so wifie offers up for a flightsim-type gift. I have been looking at the GTN 750 for some time, and wonder if someone who has integrated the 750 would kindly post some screens of how it looks in the panel. Also, am I correct that you can put the Shrike checklists into the 750? If so, how complicated would that be? Anyway, thanks in advance. Hi Does anybody knows how to configure the landing gear lock either with simconnect or fsuipc. I mean the small lock for the LG, not the LG itself Some times it does work in the VC so I would like to configure a key or a button for it. But I cannot find it and I really dont know how to work with lvars Thkx

Hello, when i start the Engine from the Cold and Dark condition over the "Ready for taxi" knob, the 500s Engines starts but the "Master Fuel Switches" stands in the CLOSE position (see screenshot). When i put the Mouse over the Switches it says ie "Fuel Selector left (ALL)" ??? (Strange) When i click on the switch once, it remains in the down-position but the Engine begins to shot down and the Mousover says "Fuel Selector left (OFF)" (Correct) When i click on the switch again it goes in the OPEN position and says "Fuel Selector left (CENTER)" (Correct) My Question: How can the Engines starts while the Master Fuel Switches stands in the CLOSE position and why sa…

I can tune a freq but it seems the FREQ <> button does not work? Anyone else have this problem?

I'm new to the Shrike and am trying to learn more about the systems. I've looked on the Garmin site, YouTube, as well as the 530 doc I got with my Milviz 310R, and all of these have more info on the 530 than the Carenado info contains. So for those of you who are familiar with the 530, what level of realism should I expect to see as I learn how to use the Shrike version of the 530? Thanks

All of a sudden today I find that when I engage the AP, it works fine, but then I go to an exterior view and my Shrike has no fuselage! I just have wings, tail, and the interior hanging out over the Gulf of Mexico. I turn the AP off and I have a complete looking aircraft. I'd put a picture here but not sure how to attach photos. I use much of my pc memory when I fly, but this is something new! Any thoughts? Or should I delete it and reinstall? Thanks!

Hi everyone, I recently bought the Shrike, and while watching a youtube tutorial, seems that we can put the GTN750 in the panel to replace the older GPS. In the readme file i read a note saying "double click on the file flight1gtn750A500s.exe ; but i can't find that file in the aero commander folder, or in the flight 1 folder. I also did a search of my hard drive and i cannot find the file. Can someone tell me how to find it? Get it from somewhere? thanks

When I look at the ailerons, there appear to be trim tabs. If these are trim tabs, is there a way to set them? I can't seem to find an aileron trim control anywhere. I'm having a bit of a time flying level without having to apply a little yoke here and there. Could be my Saitek yoke. I've recalibrated it often and it seems to help a little while, then it starts to leaning very gradually to port or starboard. My yoke aside, is this something that the Shrike really does?

I noticed in the AC 500 Utube promo and review videos that when the sun is out it shines into the cockpit it moves around as the aircraft turns, climbs, etc.....just like it does in real world flying. However in my flight sim with the AC 500 and other aircraft I do not have this effect. I'm assuming there is a program out there that enables it. Please advise me what it is or how u get this effect to work. Thank You!

I saw this post here before, I think… I once had the little green arrow pointing to the tuned VOR in the GTN but now it won't work, I have tried two VOR's in primary and secondary freqs. I can get the DEM red letters to read distance to it but that little green V shaped arrow won't point. Worked in FSX. Now have P3D 32. Version 1.1 of the Shrike. Not updated yet, didn't even know there was an update. Win 7 64 Thanks Jack

I'm having problems with the starter switches. I can shut down the engines and restart them. However, if I shut down the engines and the airplane and save the flight, when I load the saved flight with the cold/dark airplane, the starter/magneto switches are non-functional. The cursor will change when hovering above the switches, but the switches will not respond to left or right clicks, click and drag, etc. The battery and other switches work, as well as the mixture controls, parking brake, etc., but the starter switches remain stuck. If I use Control - E, the switches move and the engines will start. Otherwise the engines can't be started using the starter switches…

Has anyone been able to get the autopilot to work consistently? Autopilot on/off switch only goes up, not down.. I guess it is right click left click only :wink: Pitch mode sometimes activates, sometimes not.. Left click and mouse wheel confusion.. The popup autopilot seems to have the pitch wheel wired backwards.. Need to locate the manual for the real world unit and figure out how it is supposed to work.. Edit: Found a Century III manual in my stack of things....

I created checklists for the Carenado Aero Commander 500S Shrike to be integrated into your GTN750. The file includes Normal Procedures, Emergency Procedures, References and Acrobatic Maneuvers. If you see any errors, inaccuracies or anything you think should be added/emended, please let me know. Any feedback will be appreciated. LINK Note. In case you don't know, in order to load checklists into your GTN, you have to download the latest GTN version (v.14) from Flight1 first. Hi All, Im having a nightmare installing, when I put my serial into the installer.exe I get a 0 error code. Carenado support have said that its something blocking the installer from connecting to the server, I have disabled everything, Firewall both on my pc and on my router, I have no antivirus, Ive basically cleared a pth for everything but to no avail. Carenado have now stopped helping, basically its my problem and not theirs. I have made multiple purchases recently from flightsim store etc and have no problems with any of them.
