C208B Grand Caravan EX HD Series for FSX | P3D

  1. Started by gpbarth,

Looks like no one is up here much... Anyway, I am looking for docs for this aricraft. It looks like I have the Cessna manuals for the A/C and a manual on operation of the avionics, but nothing on the controls or operation of the aircraft. Including radar, which I assume this has, since I see the pod on the wing. Where can I find the complete documentation on this plane?

Well, I quit FSX for awhile, and came back this morning. Restarted FSX, and loaded in the C208. As per another suggestion, first thing I checked was the fuel switches in the overhead, and both were in the 'OFF' position, so I turned them on. Then went through the start-up procedure again, and got the engine started. But not without a little trouble - seems that it takes only a few seconds to get N1 up to the point where you have to turn on the conditioner. It took several tries before I got the sequence right. Problem is still the battery, though. IF - you run it down (almost did it again by waiting to turn on the generator - the avionics went dead until I switched th…

I re-posted this from the "other" Caravan thread, as this product is the one I bought. Just bought the C208 EX from PC Aviator, and did the download and install. Never once was I asked to register the aircraft. Is there any "protection" on this aircraft, or does it just work when installed? I also can't get it started - followed the pre-flight, and got some sounds when I first threw the switch, but now the whole cockpit seems to have gone dead - no power to the avionics or anything. I have several A2A aircraft that need to visit the hangar from time to time to fix things like dead batteries, but can't find anything like this for the Carenado Caravan. Running FSX, …

Ok, I recently purchased the C208b EX from Carenado. I noted that the aircraft is advertised with a cold and dark preset, but after much google searching all I have found is something from Carenado that says to hit the cold and dark option on the pop up when you start the aircraft. My problem is I don't get any pop up when I start the aircraft... does anybody have any idea what the issue is? I would love to start the aircraft cold and dark without having to shut the whole aircraft down first.

No one here has any comment to make on this release. I guess its not as popular.. I admit this is not my type of aircraft so I did not buy it but i am interested on the new vibration feature in stall and on T/O roll.... Perhaps Carenado should start thinking outside the box for new releases? As a new Reality XP user, I admit I would like to see more steam/glass combos such as a Meggit Meridian... And I was a die hard G1000 supporter. Anyway if someone can let me know how the new vibration feature is? Thanks
