CT182T Skylane HD Series FSX | P3D

  1. Hello All,I just purchased the Shockwave 3D lights, and when I try to add them to the Carenado aircraft in my hangar, I can't find the entry in the Aircraft.cfg file that points to the landing lights. Here's what I have in the cfg file for the Cessna 182 RG II (all the Carenado planes are the same):[lights]//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landinglight.0 = 3, -3.05, -18.11, 2.9, fx_navredcarencrglight.1 = 3, -3.05, 18.11, 2.9, fx_navgrecarencrglight.2 = 4, -3.0, 0.0, 1.3, fx_vclightcarlight.3 = 1,-20.42, 0, 6.63, fx_beaconcarencrglight.4 = 2, -3.37, -18.14, 2.88, fx_strobecarencrglight.5 = 2, -3.37, 18.14, 2.88, fx_strobecarencrgligh…

Hi all, I have just tried to use the C-182T for the first time since I ;learned how to make all my FSX aircraft start off in cold and dark and it won't start. I can crank the engin with both the key and the Ctrl E keys, it craks, just won't fire up, is there an issue or am I missing something?

I noticed from videos that the engine sounds from the interior are really muffled. Is this is the result of poor recording, or should it be that way?

With the latest version of the T182T: If I on the left MFD click Engine, and cycle between the options (Lean, System, Engine), both the left and right displays change. If I do the same with the buttons under the right MFD, nothing happens.

I wish to upgrade both the virtual and 2D GPS panels, gauges and autopilot in this aircraft. I run FSX in W7 x64. There are three 2D panels - standard, VFR and IFR. I am not sure whether to go down the Reality XP route or to use the Aspen EFD1000 from Flight1. I have a little experience with FS Panel Studio, and with editing the panel.cfg file directly. Some folks have posted Reality XP configurations for the 182Q on other boards in the past. One of these contains gauges which have since been upgraded: GNS530, GNS430, GNS Professional Configuration, ST3400. My question is if the new gauges - GNS 530 WAAS XP GPS; GNS 430 WAAS XP GPS - can be used like the …

Is it just me or are some of the PFD clickspots off kilter or not working at all? I tried uninstalling and then downloading the latest full installer but there is no change. The Comm freq swap button has to be clicked slightly below the button. Similar for the Direct To FPL etc buttons on the lower right. The Nav freq swap has a tiny click spot below the button but it does not work at all. I have to use the 2D popup to swap Nav frequency. Thanks.

Hi all. How / when am I supposed to use the prop pitch? I kind of understand that pulling the blue prop pitch lever out increases pitch of the prop and therefore slows the prop RPM down, this should also result in a bigger "bite" of air that the prop gets thus resulting in a higher speed, am I correct in this assumption? Because when I do this the plane acutally slows down. Also, are we supposed to decrease manifold pressure / power first, before we decrease (push in) prop pitch, to avoid over revving the enging / prop I keep getting confused about this.

How do I use ATC on one of these? I'm only used to flying the stock planes so I don't know how to do it. Also how do I bring up the atc menu with the numbered options? Sorry for being such a noob. Thanks, Will

Searching the AVSim library for T182T in repaints only gives 5 results, of which only 1 is an actual repaint. In particular, I'm looking for European-registered ones, like this one featured in many OrbX screenshots:http://fullterrain.com/images/ss/eueng/25.jpg Some more US-registered repaints would also be cool. Plenty of nice real-life paint schemes if you just do a Google image search for T182T.

Figured we could see where everyone is flying their T182T and maybe get some cool ideas. Right now I'm doing a trip across the US -Florida to California and back, keeping the legs between the upper 300 to mid 500nm range, because that is about the max amount of time I would want to stay in a small GA aircraft for. Plus stopping at some places I would stop in real life since they are places I'd like to go. This is my trip Completed: KDAB - KNEW (Daytona Beach, FL to New Orleans, LA) KNEW - KRBD (New Orleans, LA to Dallas, TX) Planned: KRBD - KROW (Dallas, TX to Roswell, NM) KROW - KPHX (Roswell, NM to Phoenix, AZ) KPHX - KSMO (Phoenix, AZ to Santa Moni…

Hey guys I'm Justin and I'm new to the forum. I was hoping I could get some help with a repain. I have a 182T of my own N291JD and I've been trying to find somebody that could help me do a repaint of the Carenado T182T in my aircrafts paint job. If you can help please let me know and if there is anything I can do in return! I can provide as many pictures as necessary. I would also like to make the texture avialable for anyone out there as well. Thanks so much and glad to join the group!

Hello, as the title says, during taxing, climbing and cruising, the airplane always tends to turn to the left slowly. When i turn it to the right for a level flight, then again slowly turns to the left. I don't have this problem with my other addon airplanes. Any suggesions? Thank you in advance

Hello all, I purchased the CT182T from the Carenado Website in late November 2012. I hadn't played around with in any depth until now. I'm quite satisfied with it for the various reasons already mentioned here by the members.... I did encounter two odd things in a flight from KSWF to CYTZ tonight that I'd thought I'd ask about... I searched the forum and didn't find anything similar. First matter: Near the end of my flight I noticed that the autopilot would hold a HDG course about 30 degrees left of where the HDG Bug was actually set. I can say for certain that wasn’t the case at the beginning of my flight as I use the heading hold to fly the runway head…

Good Morning Fellas, I just placed the new Carenado CT182T in my hangar and I really do like it. I am unfamiliar with the G1000 system however. I would very much appreciate some comments or guidance regarding which documentation I should study to help me become familiar with this particular aircraft's G1000.. I have located both the 'Garmin G1000 Integrated Flight Deck Cockpit Reference Guide' and the 'G1000 By Don Kuhn' pdf guide files. Of course I have examined the Carenado G1000 documentation however I am hoping someone can direct me to some additional documentation that further and more specifically explains the workings of the particular G1000 that Care…

I am definitely not doing something right and I hope someone can set me straight. In order to lock the auto-pilot on a GPS course, here are the steps I'm taking and they don't work (for me, at least). Please take a look at the steps below and correct me. 1. Enter a "direct-to" flight plan into the MFD and activate that plan. (magenta line appears on the MFD map page) 2. Make sure the CDI switch in the PFD is set to GPS (magenta needle goes "active" and deflects) 3. Take off and fly to the needle until the needle is centered and I am at the desired altitude 4. Power up the KFC-225 and select the NAV & ALT keys. At that point, the CT182T's au…
