<p>
	Good afternoon forum,
</p>

<p>
	I have started to use the CT182 with MSFS and have noticed a couple of issues but the consistant one is when using approach mode with the KAP140. The Glideslope is captured and the aircraft starts to come down but randomly aproach mode will turn off.
</p>

<p>
	Autopilot stays engaged, but APR is off and the plane starts to climb.
</p>

<p>
	I have opened a case with Carenado but was wondering if others experienced this issue or perhaps something I may be doing incorrectly?
</p>

<p>
	The other issue is altitude drift when ALT hold mode is on.
</p>

<p>
	I got the Carenado 182T Skylane in the Marketplace for Flight Simulator 2020 (FS20).  I have had good luck with Carenado products in the past.
</p>

<p>
	When I am starting the 182T, I am using the checklist provided with the plane (PDFs).  I am following them through pre-flight and pre-start including arming the standby battery.  The engine turns and turns but will not fire.
</p>

<p>
	Things I am doing:  I AM priming.  With the Masters Alt and Battery on and the mixture pulled out, I turn on the priming pump and advance the mixture to full rich until I see fuel flow movement, and then count to three (1001, 1002, 1003.  Then I turn off the pump and return mixture to idle cutoff. (all the way out.)
</p>

<p>
	Then I crack the throttle a quarter inch... about 15%..(I have tried 20 and 25%).  I turn the magneto switch to start and advance the mixture hoping it will start around 50%.  I get to full mixture, not fire, and turn for about 3 to 5 5 more seconds.  Nothing. I wait 15 seconds and try again.. nothing.
</p>

<p>
	I press CNTRL E and the engine fires right up.  I immediately turn the magneto switch to off. (kill the engine)   Then I pull the mixture out, check the throttle (14%) and I leave it there.  I try the procedure per the checklist.  Turn the key, advance the mixture and it starts right up. So what is the auto start setting that is missing from the procedure?
</p>

<p>
	I have flown a 182T and never had a problem starting it per the procedure in the POH. (Do it from the checklist, but, could do it from memory. ) I also know that every combustion engine has a personality, but I can not figure this one out.  My friend said just use CNTRL-E and don't worry about it.   IF I were a gamer this would be OK, but for simming, it kills it for me.
</p>

<p>
	Any ideas? Are you starting the CT182T using the procedures?  Can you shine some light on how you are priming and starting?
</p>

<p>
	 I recently purchased the retail (boxed) version from a 3rd party on-line retailer of the Carenado Cessna CT182T. No problems with install and FSX then loads aircraft without any error messages. However this is where the trouble starts. About 5-10 minutes into a flight the aircraft begins to "stutter" or "hesitate". Tried a bunch of different workarounds like setting the graphics sliders a little lower. Searched the Carenado knowledge base and tried the suggestion of altering the settings in the Carenado Navigraph folder which also did not work.
</p>

<p>
	I don't think my computer is the problem. Brand new, plenty of power, capacity and only used for flight simming. It has Windows 10 and runs FSX plus "Acceleration" without any trouble. I have a bunch of other Carenado aircraft which function without any problems so I don't understand what's wrong here. I have seen a couple of other posts where others have described a similar issue with this aircraft which something called Carenado SP 20130813 helped a great deal.  Again I bought the boxed version and don't see a patch on the support section of the site for the CT182 patch? Any suggestions?

	I am hoping one of you can help me with finding the location Of the Carenado Cessna CT182T registry folder. I went into the registry editor over the weekend to solve a problem with another aircraft. I am wondering if the Carenado Cessna CT182T is uninstalled,the registry folder deleted, then the aircraft if re-installed it might solve my dilemma with the Carenado Cessna CT182T "stuttering" which I posted about earlier.

<p>Hello, </p>
<p> </p>
<p>First - I've submitted a support ticket on this topic to Carenado and we've been trouble shooting for a week or so... just wanted to see if anyone else had solved this:</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I've noticed that in the 2.0 version of the C182T as well as my other Carenado G1000 planes when I hit flight plan button nothing happens and the "CLR" button and the "ENT"<br />button do not work.  Here is a video that I submitted to Carenado that shows the problem.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IogSEYOUhw&amp;feature=youtu.be" rel="external">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IogSEYOUhw&amp;feature=youtu.be</a></p>
<p> </p>
<p>When I create a flight plan in FSX the functionality returns and I'm able to edit an existing flight plan but I can not create a new one in the sim.  Anyone have this issue or know what could be causing it?</p>
<p> </p>

<p> </p>
<p>I am trying to get the c-182t g1000 to work as designed. I understand that many of the features of the unit are not modelled . I am just not sure if my problems stem from the item not being modelled or I'm making mistakes</p>
<p> </p>
<p>For instance when i select an approach ( assume rnav)  i am able to select the approach and then activate it. But i am then unable to get rid of the flight plan window on the mfd. Hitting the FLP or CLR button will not take me back to the main screen. Normally and in real life i could hold the C key and it would take you back to the default screen. Further lets say you are flying an approach and want to go to a fix direct in the approach. You normally can hit "direct" then scroll to the waypoint and hit enter and you can truncate the approach similar to how atc might send you to a specific point on an approach. On the g1000 in the sim i can scroll to a fix but when i hit "ENT" nothing happens, it won't send me direct  and i cant complete the task.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Typically i get stuck at this point ( or frustrated) !!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>lastly there is just no way to back up and get rid of the flight plan screen on the mfd, It seems as though once i bring it up it just stays on top of the map</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Maybe this is some of the missing functionality our perhaps I'm making a mistake  . I fly a g1000 in real life and this all seems a bit odd...</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thoughts   Pete</p>

<p>I got annoyed with the poor frame rate of the CT182T on my system, especially since every Carenado plane I've bought before has been very FPS-friendly (including the "HD" C337). There are also periodic dips every few seconds where you lose an additional 5-10 FPS over the already low FPS, bringing the overall frame rate close to the single-digits on my system over complex scenery.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The "solution" has been to turn off the right MFD, which improves the FPS noticeably and removes the FPS spikes. However it looks ugly and unrealistic with a black screen covering half the panel. So I tried simply shoehorning the default C172's G1000 panel into the Carenado plane, and to my surprise it actually seems to work OK and didn't totally break everything completely. Even most of the soft-keys and buttons seem to work fine. This seems to have solved the FPS dips and improved overall FPS somewhat, though this add-on is still not exactly frame rate friendly.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>You can still access the pop-up window to operate the MFD properly. This tweak simply provides a simple moving-map in the VC to improve the immersion and realism vs simply switching it off altogether.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Replacing it is as simple going to the [Vcockpit02] section in the panel.cfg, finding the line</p>
<p>gauge00=CAR_G1000!G1000_MFDVC,		  0,0, 512,329</p>
<p> </p>
<p>and replacing it with</p>
<p>gauge00=G1000!MFD_c172,			 0,0, 508,319</p>

<p>Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place.  I couldn't find an exact forum for my model.  It is circa 2009 but for FSX and it is the normal aspirated model.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>My first flight was without incident.  I was all thumbs trying to locate the screens I needed while enroute but all in all it was a successful flight and good landing. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>However, on my second flight while enroute at 9000 ft, level flight the throttle suddenly cut back to idle by itself.  All gauges showed in the green and I was not in cloud.  All attempts to increase to full throttle resulted in it automatically cutting back to idle again.  I tried with autopilot engaged/ GPS tracking and and also with manual flying.  The mixture was leaned properly for the flight.  The Fuel was on both tanks and showed 1/2 full in each.  The flight was perfectly normal for the first hour at cruise.  There was no sudden change in weather.  I find nothing in the manuals related to this.  The autopilot doesn't have auto-throttle capability and I have no scenery issues (clocking 60-110 fps) with smooth flight and no turbulence.   I tried with fuel booster pumps on...no luck.  Tried Carb heat (even though no moisture present) and it still cut back to idle the minute I released the throttle control.  I was flying with 2D panel.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I hope I have given enough data so that someone can diagnose my problem.  I cannot imagine what is going on.  I have 100's of hours in the RW model and never heard of such a thing.  There is nothing other than my hand that controls the throttle in the RW model!   Is this just a bug in the simulation?   I did a search of the Carenado forums and could find nothing similar. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I am submitting this here first rather than in support hopefully to get a faster response.   Any help or redirection will be greatly appreciated.</p>

<p>Howdy!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I have seven Carenado aircraft: C337, Baron, C182T, Centurion, C90, B200, and TBM850. Of these seven models, five have my preferred MFD setting of Track UP instead of North UP. Unfortunately, the 182 and the 850 have North Up as the default. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>I can change them on start-up (I usually start Cold and Dark), but much prefer having the default set correctly. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>The manual says the defaults can be reset in G1000_config.xml, but no such file exists!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Anybody know a work around?</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Thanks!</p>
