As we know, the mouse scroll wheel is used for zoom when not hovering over a knob... I have a problem where I'll miss the knob and suddenly I'm zooming in or out. Anyway to disable mouse zoom so that I don't inadvertently change my view?

Until recently, I never really had any serious issues with stutters (even small ones) and only very occasionally had very brief "freezing" on my triple-screen triple-pc XP10 setup. A friend had begun having issues and mentioned them to me, and sure enough, when I looked at MY setup, I was having the same problems but on a smaller scale. Happily, after a lot of experimentation, we discovered the 'solution' and are now enjoying the butter-smooth graphics our systems were built to deliver. I build a flight sim, very realistic, using x-plane and simavio2. (It can also run FSX and Mindstar) I've also read threads in many forums where people have spent a lot of money on computer hardware in hopes of speeding things up, only to be dissappointed with the results. i.e. x-plane won't take advantage of multiple video cards, and it does not put hits out of the ball park with multiple cores either. Hi, I am new to X-plane (about 2 months) and use X-Plane 10.35 with an Nvidia GTX770 and Win7 64Bit. Is there any cure for the scenery shimmering and flickering? One gets dizzy on final approach :-Z I read and tried all sort of things. Especially the nvidia inspector has no impact on X-Plane what so ever, regardles of the settings in X-Plane or the Nvidia Inspector. Is it just something I have to get used to in X-Plane (vs. P3D)? I am just getting into X-plane 10 on my new Haswell Build and need some direction on fixing the crazy behavior of TrackIR. It is working in the appropriate view but is wildly sensitive and in the C172 the point of view is very low. The bottom 3/4 of the screen is instrument panel. I would prefer 1/4 to 1/3. I saw something about this just a couple of days ago on the forum but now I cannot find the solutions I am looking for. Anyone care to direct me to the appropriate tutorial or give me a quick one here. :biggrin:

Hi guys. I am running XPX Global,and I normally put disc 1 in my drive before I start X Plane,but this time I forgot to do so and just fired up X Plane as normal. Everything seemed to run as it usually does. Do I not need to put disc 1 in the drive when running X Plane? I did not see any warnings that X Plane was in demo mode. Thanks. Dennis

Hi, Thanks to AUA425 in this thread, we are now able to recover the lost cloud shadows. I tried many interesting art controls for clouds to get rid of the ugly dark-grey clouds. When exploring deeper the art controls with dataref editor, my attention was drawn to a few of them containing the word "raleigh". I started to tinker with these, and here's what I got. Especially, look at the distant landscape colors: Notice the blueish hills in the far. I have yet to find the ideal setting, but this is already way more realistic than X-Plane's default. I'm able, sometimes, to "File flight plan", point "A" to point "B" airports, using the ATC window...not always! Sometimes it refuses to accept it. Not sure why but I have an idea so, I'll get there. But, I now have "Plan G" that will generate VFR flight plans as well as IFR. I can export them to X-Plan format but: 1. Where do I put them so that I can use them? 2. How do I get the flight plans loaded? 3. Can those flight plans be "Filed" with ATC? I have searched the X-Plane manual and found little to nothing regarding flight planning and using flight plans...just the simple ATC window that won't accept a waypoint that does not correspond to a navaid. Hi everybody, couls someone please let me know if it is possible (and in that case how i.e. ehat softwrare is needed) to run a server that can accomodate and run together FS9 - FSX and X-Plane 9 and 10? I believe this is already possible on the IVAO network, but of course IVAO would not allow the use of their connecting software on private networks!!! I couldn't find a printable list of the full XP10 keyboard commands, so made my own from the PRF file in the demo. Haven't put any yoystick info in, but there is a column where you can add your own. Cheers keith

I have just loaded the free version for route planning I started with khqm to kolm but I see no radio frequences and I know from khqm there is one on runway 24 or is this only for the registrated version. furthermore I have the question how to get the route into the plane I saved the route in x-plane out-fms ofcourse in the c172 from flyte there is no fms but I thought the flightplan could also go to gps what do I wrong?

I'm searching for the function but I didnt find it in X-plane 10 menu. So... Where can I find it ?

Hi, I have recently downloaded the demo version of X plane, after many years of MSFS. Impressions are very favourable so far! I found that when I checked the box in settings to use Track IR, and go to 3D view mode, I have an outside view, but no panels or interior details, only thick black lines round the window frames. The view pans round smoothly in response to Track IR inputs, but no panels. I downloaded pilotview and it seems to work, in the sense of adjusting the view position, but it doesn't solve the missing panel problem. Help or suggestions gratefully received. Neil

Have only recently got X-Plane 10 (just before 10.30) I am wondering if this is how rain does look normally or is something going wrong? Once I reduced speed to land it seemed fine but at full speed it just looked so wrong. The rain was moving but was in squares around all the windows, hope this is a bug as it completely ruined the flight for me.

I have tried to use xplane, but it is soooo annoying - what with the hat switch panning (not) and most of all, the everything dark problem. I haven't flown it lately, but have the new update installed now and would appreciate guidance on getting some more light on the subject. Thanks in advance

Hi Guys, Im a stubborn FSX user, but iv decided to have a look at XPlane 10, now that some descent plane have landed for it! I do have a question about camera views in the virtual cockpit, though. Is there an addon that will let me set my camera views? Something like EZdok that FSX has? Iv come pretty reliant on that addon, so something similar for XPlane would be brilliant. If not, how do you guys pan and zoom around the cockpit? I would like to create my own cameras that i can assign keyboard (or better yet, spare joystick) buttons to. Thanks for your advice.

Fresh install and updated to beta - installed Xsquawkbox plugin and now comes up every time with this error on start up, winxpl error and xsquawkbox caused application to stop. Still gives this error after removing Xsquawkbox - have googled but does not seem to be a "regular" xplane error. Any info would be appreciated - used installer from xplane site and not dvd. Denis B
