A36 Bonanza for FSX | P3D

Is there any known issues with the manifold pressure in cold weather? I just purchased an A36 on FS Economy and I am using the Carenado A36 yet when flying it through Alaska I have an issue where my fuel pressure drops and my manifold pressure slowly drops until it is completely gone making me lose airspeed. At first I thought I might have done something wrong or not followed a step on the checklist but after going through everything I had followed the checklist perfectly. My next theory was that maybe FSE was doing something to the airplane because I had a maintenance issue with mine, so I rented another A36 and flew that just fine. Did somebody experience the same...I was doing a short ILS flight from Munich to Innsbruck yesterday. To get over the alps I had to climb quite high ~9500 feet. Weather conditions were a few degrees below zero and rain/snow showers from time to time. During flight in moist air I suddenly lost power rapidely. The manifold pressure dropped. Having experienced similar situatinos with the standard C172 already I pressed the h-key, which if I'm not wrong is the carb heat in the C172. Forgive this elementary question. I've searched all over, read the manual, but I still can't figure out how to get the cold and parked A36 to display chocks, and engine covers. I'm having the same trouble with the Australian Simulation PA26. I've tried moving to different parking places... but no joy. Thanks in advance for your help. Bob

Hi Guys Ive been having a bit of a problem with my Carenado A36 Elevator Trim which seems to me overly sensitive. Ive changed the value in the aircraft config file from the default elevator_trim_effectiveness =1.0 to elevator_trim_effectiveness =0.7but it hasn't made any difference I can see - should I have increased the value above 1.0 or decreased it more? I'm using a Saitek X52Pro Stick and Throttle with the elevator trim axis in FSX mapped to my throttle rotary - Would appreciate any suggestions Cheers Pete

Some minor issues are fixed, mainly to do with click spots in the virtual cockpit. You can find this SP on the Carenado download site. Also, in collaboration with an A36 owner, I have made some changes to the Aspen gauge which has been upgraded to match the latest release level. Based on owner feedback, Aspen has changed the function of the HDG and CRS knobs so that they default to adjusting when turned, rather than having to be pushed in first. I realize that this might sound like a dump question, but I'll take my chances... When I first purchased the A36, it was a joy to fly. I had no problems to get it to fly straight and level without using the autopilot. However, since I like to test all the buttons and wheels, I moved the AIL TRIM wheel. I shouldn't have... The purpose of the AIL TRIM is of course to trim the ailerons = the airplane will roll if it was level. That is exactly what is happening. Hi Guys, Need some help here please. I am trying to get my shockwave lights to work on the A36, but for some reason the Beacon and strobe don't want to play. I am using the config done by twowolves. The nav, landing, taxi along with the VC all work fine. Here is his config. Hi Guys, Just got this little gem and having a problem with my Saitek Switch Panel. All switches on the panel work fine with the aircraft, except a couple (Strobe and Beacon) which I will post on a new post. But my main concern is the start up knob. I can turn the knob on the panel and will do the same in the aircraft but when It gets to the start position it crashes FSX. Any ideas why? the aircraft starts OK if I use my mouse wheel to turn the knob in the aircraft Regards Timm

Shift 1 pops up the radios and shift 4 pops up the panel.... is there a way to assign a pop up to the Autopilot or at least the radio stack. I am running FSX on a windows 7 machine. I am in instrument training in a BE36 and need the pop up so I can read the info on the screen. Hi! Finally I found one of those errors they become you mad. Long ago I updated 304 nvidia drivers from the old ones. I was flying so much the Carenado A36 with the RXP430 integration... But with the new drivers (and now with the 306) because the plane was loaded as default one.. everytime I got an FSX error and quick of it in loading. Never appeared the plane in the menu. Now I have discovered is because of the REALITY XP INTEGRATION. If I click over RXP430.exe then I load FSX and it breaks with those drivers. If I put back to CAR430.exe no problem. How can I solve this situation not going back to the old drivers? It is strange.. but what is modified and w…

I've installed the A36 on a new computer, flies great, but I can't get the GNS430 (RXP) to connect to the EFD1000. I have the ini file as required, I have the latest RXP update, but the EFD1000 has a red line through the GPS unless I put in a FSX flight plan. It's probably something simple, but I can't figure out what I've done. A possibly related issue, when I pop up the GNS430, only the RXP one shows, there's a blank space below where the Carenado one should be.

When preparing for a flight in the A36 today out of KAVL I noticed that in addition to cross feeding flight plan information to the EFD1000, the RXP update also cross feeds flight plan information to the 2nd GPS400 (FSX/Carenado) in the stack. So you can display various flight plan elements on all three instruments. Not as good as having two RXP units in the stack as with RXP Professional, but still a nice-to-have. Here is a screen capture showing RXP flight plan data on all three instruments. Not sure if you can read it clearly but funny to note that the direct to line on the GPS400 says "Direct to RealityXP". If you have an RXP GPS the latest RXP update now has the ability to feed the flight plan in the RXP unit to other gauges that can display a flight plan. It works beautifully for the EFD1000 in the Carenado A36. Make sure you have configured your RXP GPS (430 or 530) for the A36 using the RXP WAAS FSX Configuration Utility. It will create the necessary rxpgns,ini file for the A36 as some of the Carenado-provided RXP integration applications do not create the rxpgns.ini file. Hei, I have a question on one particular option in the EFD1000 menu. It's the ARC MODE. One can switch between HSI and CDI, but what is the difference? I'm searching already some time now for an answer to that question. Another thing I experienced is that even if the HSI heading is off, the autopilot is still following the true heading instead of the heading given by the HSI. For example, if the HSI is off for some 5 degrees and I want the autopilot to fly on a heading of 75 deg, the autopilot will follow 75 deg but the HSI will show 80 deg. The heading bug will be on 75 degrees. Shouldn't it be that the autopilot follows the heading bug, no matter what? Would…

Hi guys, any hints how to lean the A36 in a professional manner? Seems, that the Leanfinder is only a dummy, and the EGT does not really work either as it should (almost no needle movement when reducing fuel flow). Only way is reading the charts in the POH? Thanks, Thomas

This is a very extrange issue. I don't know if that is because I am doing something wrong but I load the plane and sometimes it does it right others not.Here is an screenshoot.As you can see I am leveled at 12000 ft following the HDG mode.. but if you see the cyan mark of the HDG is to the right some degrees.. but the plane is leveled and following other direction.I have made 4 flights with the plane. 2 did it wrong like this one (maybe the bug was on the left, the other time) and the other 2 was correct.I cannot reproduce when is going wrong.. only thing is I start the plane soon and make preparations to tune frequencies.. etc... Does anyone else think the flaps are way out of whack? When I put them down during the approach they cause the plane to pitch up dramatically and the airspeed drops significantly.

I have given up on Carenado since the Baron 58, I liked the Bonanza F33A for looks, but it flew terribly, so it is now also in the virtual dirt bin. It looks like the community mod this plane quite a bit, but at the end is this a worthy retry, or I shall hold my peace and give up?ThanksVu Pham

Hi All, I have the A36 with SP1 installed. I noticed the other day on a short approx. 1hour flight that the fuel system does not work. I had the selector on the right tank and there was absolultely no decrease in the quantity of the right tank same as the left tank. I'm not expect PMDG level systems here. But even default FSX planes show a decrease in fuel quantity. Has anybody else noticed this issue? Cheers,Billybob
