Aviation and Flight Sim Video Forum
Have a real world or simulator video that you would like to show to the community? Here is the place you can do so. Please, no links to monetized content on other sites e.g. YouTube, Rumble, etc. "Monetized" means you or someone else is being paid for views and/or the video solicits people to subscribe to a channel where the content provider(s) is/are being paid for views. I've started shooting some GoPro videos of the basement sim. This video is from a few weeks back. I hadn’t installed the sun visors yet, and was still working on the alignment across the three monitors, but overall it looks pretty good (save the poor low-light images from my old GoPro, which really washes out the textures here). I also have the cabin and panel lights down in the cockpit, so it's a bit dark as well. In this video we take off from KTPA runway 1L, make a left-hand turn out of the pattern, and follow the causeway out to Clearwater. We then make a left-hand turn over Clearwater Beach, before finally making some vectors to enter the pattern for KPIE ILS 36…

Hi, I'm 13 and used to upload to youtube but not in a professional manner (Thumbnail, editing, etc.) So I decided recently to upload videos of me flying to places (Since I do it for my VA, might as well record since I enjoy flying and thought I might share thoughts on aircraft or give news in the Simulation community) My videos are sort of short and in the second video (Embraer 175) I tried making sort of a scenic part where I have music (Little did I know it wasn't long enough) so I'm still learning. I wanted to see what your opinions are and how I can improve on my videos. My Channel Thanks Avsim Community! - Pete P.S. Its currently X-Pl…

Hello everyone, I have put a video on Youtube, in which I have compared how both sims (Prepar3D v3.2 and FSX:Steam) perform under heavy AI traffic load over time in terms of FPS, and how they respond to an increase in the water/shadow settings. With large international airports such as Chicago O'Hare, the FPS are known to degrade over time due to the build-up of traffic, so I was interested to see how both sims would handle this scenario. I have attempted to generate similar graphical quality conditions in both sims, but I know that it is not that simple (for instance, P3D generates more autogen objects into a larger radius than FSX at the same autogen setting). A…

Hello all, This weekend I had some time and will to record this tutorial! Thought I might share it with you guys! Now, the interesting part for those of you who already know how to fly the 777 is PART 4. In this part I explain how a VOR Approach is flown playing with the MCP Altitude and V/S windows to anticipate for step descents. Also, I happened to have bad enough luck (or good enough, depends) to have a GO AROUND aural warning during final approach. You can see the aircraft going from OVERSPEED to STALL as it flies through the microburst. If you just want to see this part, click here!. Finally, upon landing, I floated past the TouchDown Zone but landed…

Put up a very short video of the scenery I am working on. I have been to the Antique Airfield long ago and thought I wanted to fly to it in X-Plane so here is the progress so far. Thanks to the Antique Airplane Association's great web site for all the pictures that helped with the structures, signs and other unique items at this field. All buildings had to be modeled as well as signs and assorted objects. Work in progress and yes I know the orange windsock pole is sticking through hangar number one's lower roof The biggest problem is finding vintage static aircraft to populate the field - anyone know of any post please.
