The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Here's a nice water view: a freebie from the avsim library. As one pans it changes colour and is pretty acurate. Shot taken establishing onto the IGS 13 approach.

Lately I don't know what I enjoy more: the plane (A2A C172R), the scenery (Orbx FTXG plus Norwegian freeware), the skies (REX), the weather (OpusFSX)... No matter where I look, it all looks beautiful! Sometimes it feels like I am flying through paintings of old Dutch masters! I just don't have enough eyes to see and enjoy everything! Here are some random shots out of the VC I took during my last flights.

Some of you may know that I have been a very staunch supporter of 2D panels. My main two reasons for avoiding using the VC was the performance hit as well as what I perceived a lack of attractive texturing for VCs. Getting nauseated moving around the VC did not help either. I have been lucky enough to be able to buy a new PC with a 4th generation CPU (i4770K) that I now run stably at 4.5GHz. At the same time the new T7 was released. Now there - finally - was an attractive VC that could compete (and beat) the best 2D panels ever made. Since I find using the VC a tad nauseating I used Live Camera Views from Opus to set fixed views. I made them instant switchable - s…

Evening, Just a few shots from my latest flight over in the Middle East. Company traffic departing as we push back from Terminal 2. Taxiing to Runway 30R for my first flight out to Doha passing the world famous Emirates Engineering Centre. "SkyDubai Five, you are cleared for takeoff RWY30R via November Nine. Surface winds are 300 @ 11kts." Climbing away! A pretty remarkable cruise docked up in Dubai. Seeing the marvellous city of Dubai as we head off to Doha. Flying over the islands as we depart. Few shots from my flight to Male Passing the city once again. Finals, First Officer set up his Go Pro on the dash. Shut down for the night, now time to spe…

Hello friends, well, it was time for a promotion and I will be embarking on a series of 777LR flights on the freshly released PMDG bird. As mentioned in my earlier flight, I might return for some NGX flights occasionally, but I'm too obsessed with this new jumbo to consider flying anything else! I've been waiting for this day for so long, I have always wanted a proper 777 in the sim. So without further ado, let's get going. For my inaugural flight, I decided to use a carrier that operates the 777LR, as I cannot bring myself to fly airlines/routes that don't use the equipment IRL. Sure I may fly some British Airways routes in the LR even though they use the 200ER …

It was close on VAS, very close - about 250MB free, but flight from KSFO to KSAN was successful. LOD 9.5 REX Weather/Textures 4096 Clouds FSX Textures 4096 FlightBeam KSFO AI Traffic 360 PMDG 777-200 2560 x 1600 AccuFeel MSE CA 2.0 GoFlight Interface 2560 x 1600 4X/16X FPS didn't really change for me, worse case about 30 fps. Very well done Aircraft PMDG. ... I hope I got the image size limit correct, can't remember if it was 1024 or 1280 (these are 1280)?? Apologies if I got it wrong. Well done PMDG and thank you. Rob

What an exciting week huh people? What with the release of PFPX and the PMDG 777, it took all my willpower not to forget to finish off my replication of my vacation flights on Jet Airways' 737 NGs. Can you believe I actually chose to fly this flight on the Tuesday the 777 went on sale? If you ask me, it may have been a blessing as the initial release was fraught with server issues and what not, just as I expected. I thought it may be a good idea to just relax, and say my goodbyes to the NGX in the best way I can imagine, imitating the last of 4 legs on NGs during my August vacation in India. After spending 3 days in Mumbai visiting relatives, I embark on a Jet Ai…
