The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Nice to re-acquaint yourself with parts of your country so nicely rendered by the new-look sim. Lake Tekapo is in the New Zealand South Island. Folks go there because It is part of the Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve, with low light pollution. The Mt. John Observatory offers views of the night sky and the Southern Lights (Aurora Australis) The lake is quite turquoise, the result of suspended rock flour delivered by upstream glacial action. It's also a hydropower lake, and contributes to the grid which now supplies more than 80% of electricity from renewable sources.

ORBX Himalaya mesh, B 247 from Wing 42, Live weather. I haven’t flown this nice bird in ages. Btw, I just went to the website of Wing 42 and it appears that the site doesn’t exist anymore. Strange. Luckily the plane still works after all these updates. Those mountains I want to explore further in another thread A good friend of mine was once vice ambassador of Germany and lived in Kabul for three year. He says that it was an absolut beautiful place. That was in the 1980s; oh well... Thanks for viewing

Note: I've never taken a "poll" before, it's kind of embarrassing for me to do it but I was just curious. How important is it to post screenshots with the "correct" registration? I've been met with outright hostility in the past for the "wrong" rego but I never cared, I like what I like. After all it's only a desktop simulation, not real life. Just my opinion. First flight in all of March, an overnight from Denver to Cologne in the FedEx 777-F. Rotating out of Denver for the 10 hour crossing. Losing sunlight fast! Waking up a few hours later, safely cruising above the UK. Inbound the ILS for 14L. A great landing wraps up this 10 hour crossing, where to now? N846FD unloads at F23, and is currently resting in Cologne waiting for her next flight. Might go to Phoenix and then Mexico City.
