  1. Normally, when people head south to escape of the Canadian winter, it only takes 1 or maybe 2 flights at most to get to their destination. However, when you are in control of the flight, it is no fun to sit for hours letting the plane do the work. Canadian Xpress would like to invite all pilots to join us on Saturday, January 28th at 21h00est (Sunday 02h00z) for our January 2023 fly-in where we depart from where we left off last month in Washington DC (KCDA) and fly the second leg in our search to find warmer weather to Fort Lauderdale (KFLL). One lucky Canadian Xpress® pilot* will win: • Any Just Flight Product from: *Please see Fly-In PDF for contest d…

For us here at Canadian Xpress that means back to our regular schedule of flights. One of those flights is operating cargo flights for a major transportation shipping company.. 5. November 2022 marked the 40th year for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Sadly, those 40 years have some dark times. With the release of Microsoft Flight Simulator X in November of 2006, we saw Meigs Field, the airport it made famous around the world, disappear from the scenery list for the first time. In early 2003 claiming safety concerns for the city in the post-911 world, the mayor of Chicago sent bulldozers out to the airport, and had 3 giant Xs dug in to the runway of Meigs Field. Sealing the fate of the airport forever. In late 2007 BAO now renamed Aces Game Studio, announced the availability of licenses of the Microsoft Enterprise Simulation Platform which is …

Hello. I have been trying everything about buying the Latin VFR A321 NEO. I went to Microsoft Store website, found infp about the aircraft, a section dedicated to comments, but not the area or page where to buy it. I don't know if I am missing that information somewhere during my search, but I spent a couple of days trying to find the section where I can buy it. Can someone put a link for that purchase page please. My failing eyesight is not helping me much either. Thanks.

  9. November marks the 40th year of Microsoft Flight Simulator. In the late 1990s, Microsoft was releasing a new version of Microsoft Flight Simulator every 24-30 months. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 was released in late 1999, with high expectations, as it moved beyond the limited 3,000 airport database with FS98 to nearly 20,000 airports. Worldwide navigational points were also added, which allowed for real world flights, detailed airports, and AI traffic. In the end, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 was a big disappointment for most users due to the minimum specs requiring a Pentium 166 MHz computer, although 400–500 MHz computers were deemed necessary to have a…

Fly the Canadian Xpress Australian Adventure Tour Australia, the largest country of the continent of Oceania, is also one of the flattest and driest countries in the world. That doesn't mean it's devoid of life or interesting places. On the contrary, the country is full of wonders, from the grasslands of the southwest, to the savanna in the north, the rainforests of the east and the world-renowned Outback, Australia is full of things to discover. Small aircraft are an essential mode of transportation in and out of many parts of the country and for remote communities, a critical lifeline for medical aid (flying doctor) flights. November marks the 40th year for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Microsoft Flight Simulator began as a set of articles on computer graphics, written by Bruce Artwick throughout 1976, about flight simulation using 3D graphics. When the editor of the magazine told Artwick that subscribers were interested in purchasing such a program, Artwick founded Sublogic Corporation to commercialize his ideas. At first the new company sold flight simulators through mail order, but that changed in January 1979 with the release of Flight Simulator (FS) for the Apple II. Between 1979 and 1981, Sublogic adapted FS to several other home computer platforms. But things really took off in 1981…

  16. Corporate Travel is a fair amount of charter business here at Canadian Xpress. However, when talked about. The first thing that comes to most pilots is a trip to some far-off place in our 737BBJ or Citation X. When really, most are not a trip to some exotic place. Rather, they are shorter flights where 3 or 4 people are traveling for a day’s business and the distance to cover doesn’t make financial sense to drive for 2 days and book several nights of hotel rooms and cover meals. This month's challenge is exactly that type of charter. We’ve been contracted for a business flight to Fort St. John a 320nm flight that should take about an hour. Your mission is to fly…

Departing from Toronto Billy Bishop, we head towards Wiarton passing over Mono Cliffs Provincial Park. As the name suggests, the park has several cliffs faces along the Niagara Escarpment itself. Along the Cliff Top Trail is a sturdy set of stairs which descend about 30 meters (98 ft) down the rock face to a wooden path that runs between the cliff face and a small outlier, providing excellent views of the rock, ferns, and cedars. Passing Wiarton we fly over serval Provincial Nature Reserves, o…
