Hi all not sure if I am posting this question in the right part of the forum but seeing that its panel related I think it may be, its a bit of a long shot as I dont think many people will be using this aircraft its a mainair blade microlight. I have a knob in the VC I need to rotate to 3 positions:offdimbrightHas anyone had any success in MakeMDL.parts.xml version XML Code at rotating a knob based on a L:CabinLight variable? There are numerous examples of using "stock FS variables" but none using custom L:var types for anything except bool values.Further, there are examples of LeftSingle+LeftDrag+Wheel but no examples of RightSingle+RightDrag+Wheel???All the Rocker switches are completed and interfaced with the C gauge to keep 'em synched and allow for sound (via the C gauge logic), but the last three "rotary knobs" are being a PITA... ;)

  3. I would like 4 seperate fuel gauges(L,C,R and total), as NWA uses in their dc-9's. They are very similar to the default 737 gauges but all the tanks in the 37 are made as 1 gauge and I cannot fit them to the panel bitmap. Would anyone be intested in making these ?RegardsGreg

hello to all Sim Fliers. the problem that i'm having is that everytime i'm flying, just started or in the air flying to my destination, when i pan to an outside view or cycle through views using the W key. when i am back in the cockpit all my gauges and instruments are all gone. no matter what plane i'm using. if i use the ones that comes with the MS2004 or the ones i've downloaded from Avsim. i've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. i've change my screen setting from 1040 x 768 to 800 x 600. still no change. the system i have is....AMD 2800, 120gig HD, 1gig MEM, NVidia 256 Gainward Video Card, CH Product Yoke, CH Product USB Rudder Pedals, and CH Product …

After using the Lonny Payne 757 panel for a few months, and playing with the various failures, specifically fires, it got me wondering, is there a way to create a gauge that would toggle an effect when I toggle that fire. Say I hit engine fire, all it does now is send a bunch of alerts off, but no visuals outside the plane. What I want to do is have that toggle and effect like fire and smoke. Is this possable, and how do I do it?Thanks,Dan

Until now the FS transponders were dummy ones, the new clients allow another step in simulation since they allow the transponder to fully operate giving new meaning to transponder mode, ident and ATC indicator. The two clients have different developing interfaces for transponders. SB3 is using a FSUIPC interface; FSInn is using a gauge named var interface. Even with these two interfaces the XML gauges were left out. This small text presents the interfaces and a module that allows combining all these 3 interfaces in one allowing developers to develop in its favorite platform, the ultimate goal is to make developers aware of the online activities and develop with them in mi…

Hey everyone,I am currently in UPT for the Air Force and am just about to start flying the T-38C. I was wondering if anyone knows of a T-38C panel that is anywhere, or if anyone is looking to make one. If someone is looking to make one, I could help out with some info, but I have no experience with panel design.Thanks,Allenhttp://www.airforcelife.net/images/banner.jpghttp://www.airforcelife.net

  10. Hello,I'm having a really strange problem related to the aoutpilot. It happens with every aircraft and panel I have, so it must be something in the sim itself, not a specific aircraft or panel file. Whenever the main 2D panel is not visible on the screen, the autopilot loses pitch control. It happens in VC mode, outside views, looking to the side in the 2D cockpit, and even turning off the main panel window. Returning to the main panel view, the autopilot immediatly regains pitch control. I'm at a loss to even begin the look for the answer, but my knowledge in this area is pretty slim. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks, Mel

  14. Hey folks,I remember reading Tintin when I was a kid and remember seeing a suspersonic bizjet in one of the comics. Anyway I looked it up online and found some info. The Carreidas was designed by comic artist Roger Leloup for the Tintin series and is a Dassault-esque swingwing jet about the size of maybe a Gulfstream II. I found some pictures of it at;(in French)http://modelbox.free.fr/dossiers/tintin/Carreidas_P/Also a good cutaway drawing at tintin.comlook up 'Flight 714' on the popup window and look for a cutaway of the jet. It looks like a Falcon 10 mixed with a TU-134B and F-111. Interesting #2 engine design with the inlets part of the #1 and #3 fairings. I think thi…

HiI have been trying to create the code for the two small bars that drives the flight director, but no success yet. Or, limited success only. What I'm looking for is the math needed to shift these bars horizontally and vertically so that their top link is located at the same spot the flight director is located during it's pitch shift and bank rotation. How do I need to "think" math, in order to make this work properly?See the picture on what actually happens currenyly at great bank and pitch angles, and the txt file for the current code for this part (linkages and flight director bar).Any suggestions?

Hi,are there any user variables in FS that can be accessed by both scenery objects and gauges? I'm working on a fully functional pushback truck and I need some sort of a way to pass information to the truck through a gauge. I've already programmed a simple object that's always relative to user aircraft and I animated it. When Nav2 (Nav2 is NOT a good solution, I really want to make it depend on usrvar*) is set to 115.00, tug pops up right of aircraft (it will be outside of VC's viewing range so when you are in VC you will not see how it pops up) and drives to front gear. But I don't know how to activate Flight Sim's pushback function through scenery object. I believe the b…

I'm using Photoshop and seem to be chasing my tail in trying to eliminate the jagged black lines between the panel and the background (all black - 0,0,0), which seems to arise from the blending pixels at the edge of the panel.I've done a search with no real success. Has anyone found a techniche to overcome this?

howdy,i want to implement a gauge into my DC8 cockpit, butas the cockpit is grey, and the outline of the gauge brown,it doesn't look very nice..is there an easy way to paint the offending bitmap(s) grey?and preferably a freeware way too?the gauge is Lee Hetherington's tcasv4 btw.i want to install it in a HJG panel,as i fly that exclusively, and online, and the soon to be released sb3 will not include a tcas, which would have me breaking the virtual law ;)if it works for the -8,i might install it in my 727 as well :)thanks in advancetataJP.

We have been contracted to interface a Honeywell HT-9100 FMS with FS2004. This will be a real-time harware interface (most of which is already done). I need to be able to read data from the various gauges on the main panel and write back to the Auto-pilot and HSI. The Panels SDK talks about using "named variables" to communicate between gauges using C/C++. It also talks about XML gauges but doesn't specify how these comminucate with one another. I don't want to rewrite the Auto-pilot guage or the HSI (and frankly I don't have the time to rewrite them either). Is the source-code available for the guages so I can add the needed named variables? Or, is there a way to do…

I am getting close to finishing work on the Cirrus SR20 G2 model, and now need to find a solution to the problem of FS9's "perceived radius" of the .mdl...Since I've included the CAPS (ballistic parachute system), FS9 is "seeing the radius of the model" as if it were as "large" as the radius from the origin point to to the top of the deployed parachute... which obviously creates not only a perspective problem, but also forces FS9's traffic management system to act as though the demure little Cirrus were a massive jetliner when it comes to "parking assignments!" :(Does anyone know a solution to this? Is there somewhere in the FDE where the "radius" is defined, or is there…
