@NoelI think you wrote about this another thread about me converting a USB volume knob into a trim wheel? Based on that I also tried it as rudder control… and it does indeed work! I wished for a third arm and hand though but it is possible 😂 I am better with the pedals.

Bought rudder pedals myself a month ago. It is my first pedals as well. I got the Velocity One and just use them with standard settings. I had a joystick before with twist rudder as well. There is a learning curve for sure… suddenly you need to allocate a part of your brain to coordinate legs and feet as well! 😁 This is where the beauty of MSFS And Youtube comes in. I’ll probably get killed by some of the IRL instructors, but here is what worked for me as practise: Create a controlled environment Pick an airfield you are familiar with Set a stable weather scenario e.g. clear skies, stable cross wind, no gusts Make loooong approaches so you can get yourself set up without stress Fly along the runway, no need to land initially Use pedals to keep the plane parallel with the centerline Use yoke or stick to counter drift and stay on the centerline Repeat, repeat, repeat Once you can fly the length of the runway in the right position, add the landing What only dawned on me after getting the pedals, is that a correct crosswind landing in a GA should actually be with the upwind main wheel first, the downwind main wheel next and then nose wheel. But the logic kind of happened by itself when I followed the above. Also I have realised that the rudder input I use during approach may (of course) have to be reversed after landing to correct on the centerline… it may seem obvious now, but it feels more logic with the pedals. Good luck! Edit: I still have the occasional panic landing, so not 100% consitent yet 😉

AutoFPS is magic. Combined with the AICull feature of AIFlow it keeps my mediocre machine well alive and kicking.

There should be a readme.txt or install.txt with those files. Installing Bijan's trees is quite easy. It's just drag and drop into your community folder according to which season you want. Owning both, for me Bijan's trees still have the upper hand compared to AccuSeason.

Nothing wrong with Opentrack. I have used Opentrack for years with the wireless Grassmonkey device. It works great.

Yes, the button solution also works well. That’s what I primarily used until I remapped the volume knob. Must admit that the smooth rotation and tactile feedback from the detents makes for a good feel. My yoke also has a rocker switch set up for trim, and I use an old USB numpad as button box and it’s also easy with AHK to remap keys or run macros as needed. Didn’t think about the rudder option, but I will experiment. I have no pedals either.

The knob I have has detents when I turn it. A signal is sent with each detent. I have remapped it to send Numpad + and - depending on the direction of rotation. I think it should be possible to change the rate e.g. by asking the AHK script to send multiple keypresses per detent. I fly the A2A Comanche and it has a control in the tablet for trim rate. Wrt. reset it is not relevant with this approach… the knob does not know ‘where’ it is. It rotates infinitely in each direction. As mentioned it is not an axis.

I am using AIFlow and see ‘the full package’… I am only using the AICull feature of AIFlow to limit AI aircraft.

Thanks, I did try that, but the performance seems better when I just go without the Expert settings… maybe it is placebo 🤗

In order the get that option, I need to switch on the Expert options, right? I just want to use the basic or auto feature which works really well on my rig, and keep the clouds at high all the time.

@Flyfaster_MTN002, how would I do that using the automatic setting? Unless I select Expert, I have no control over how the app adjusts the clouds… or am I missing something. Basically what I was hoping to achieve was to use the app in the automatic mode and have the clouds frozen at high.

Dear @Reset XPDR, thank you so much for developing this tool. It has revived my simming with MSFS getting nice stable frame rates on an ageing machine! It works from hanger to hanger and gives me a smooth flight every time. Is there a way to freeze clouds e.g. at HIGH when I don’t use the Expert settings? The automatic settings work best for me and I wish I could freeze the clouds at HIGH to give the extra head room and let the algorithm do its thing 😁

Wakes are implemented. Can't comment on superiority, but can say that it is a remarkable undertaking and achievement that keeps getting better. It's free so you have nothing to loose other than 10 minutes getting it up and running.

Hi, I also fly with a stick... If you want to hand-fly instead of using the autopilot, you can also just dial in a bit of rudder trim to counter the roll tendency.
