  1. Can anyone explain to me, why PMDG, in their infinite wisdom, retail the 800 at $74.99 and the 900 is 33% cheaper at $49.99, please? TIA.
  2. Make sure there are NO firewall settings impeding MSFS2024 and also remove ALL virus protections from scanning directories pertaining to MSFS2024.
  3. I see you're sorted, good. However the point being made by myself and @jrw4 is that if you have to physically see that the Boris sound files are actually installed rather than easily hearing the improvement then installing them in the first place is made somewhat redundant. EG. :- If I install a visual addon, say some scenery, then I would expect to see the improvements, the exact same should be able to be said about audio addons, ie. you should be able to hear the improvements. In both cases it should not be neccessary to actually look for the files to check if it has been installed.
  4. Is it not reasonable to assume that when the airplane was first installed that it also installed the default sound files and that these soundfiles were the one's heard when first loaded ? I would think this to be perfectly reasonable and there is your "other number", to sate your argument.
  5. Couldn't agree more !! Another nonsensical thread that is without foundation, which unfortunately will probably pullulate over many pages. Full of nothing but conjecture, wishful thinking, theorizing, hypothesis, sentiment, et al. All great attributes revered in the aviation dicipline.😂
  6. Surely a somewhat misleading thread title, given the OP ? Chaseplane for MSFS2024 - It is any good? Have you read the 15 page thread here ? :-
  7. Not according to Mr. Randazzo :- "Marketplace! We managed to get the 737-800 into Microsoft Marketplace 2024 intake late in the day on Thursday. We had been in communication with Microsoft regarding some hiccups we were hitting with intake, and they were helping us out in real time, as they are eager to get the 737-800 into Marketplace for the holiday as well."
  8. IIRC, it was quite clearly stated when you bought CP for 2020 that the upgrade to 2024 would be free. So, I certainly expected it to be free, however I agree that the required code was not clearly displayed or advertised.
  9. Wishing you all the best with your new PC Chris. However, I'm confused by this comment........... What 'messing about' do you envisage by having two sims on the same PC? I have 5 different sims installed on my rig and all run independently of each other and did not neccessiatate any 'messing about'. I have since chosen for some to share certain scenery and planes and to that end I used some readily available basic utilitiey prgs. to assist me. To my mind this is not 'messing about', in fact I quite enjoy it. Maybe, you would class trying to share between sims as a bother, or maybe I'm miles off the mark? As they say "Doctors differ,Patients die." Anyway again, best of luck with the new rig.
  10. Cheers for that, however while it removes the CTRL+ C msg. I still have the HUD in the cockpit even though I have it off in options. The only way to get rid of it, as far as I can see, is to also turn off HUD for external view.
  11. I have V0919 installed and running, I never tried V0825.
  12. Never tried it as I understood it was not compatible with SU4 beta. (may try it though 😊) As I already said, if you have Edge installed you also have Webview installed. There is no doubt that Webview is a neccessary dependant for Atmos Core. See the screenshot if I block access to Webview and invoke weathercreator.exe (AtmosCore).
  13. Surely 0919 is the update to 0825 so I'm somewhat confused when you say "0919 was running perfectly" intimating 0919 preceded 0825 ??
  14. All I can tell you is that on my system running Windows 11pro Atmos Core will not run without Webview. If it is missing, Atmos Core will open and close almost immediatly. It is normally part of MS Edge so usually does not require seperate installation, so if you have MS Edge installed you also have Webview installed. I have operated Windows 11 for over 2 years now without MS Edge installed ( on purpose ) and have not encountered any problems, up to now that is, until I tried Atmos Core. When I looked up Event Viewer after Atmos crashes I can see the report stating it crashed out because it could not find Webview so hence I had to re-install it. But if you can get Atmos Core to run without having Webview installed I'd be very grateful if you could tell me how, please.
  15. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=edge+webview
  16. Make sure you have Edge Webview installed and up to date. This is one of Atmos Core's dependencies.
  17. 100% agree, unsupported plane and as you say a beta as well, however you didn't address my question at all, which was........ Anyone else experiencing the take off warning randomly sounding with the Pmdg 737-800 with this latest beta?
  18. Anyone else getting the pmdg 737-800 takeoff config warning constantly/randomly sounding, even during cruise? Only started happening with this latest beta version.
  19. Unfortunately as it turns out I did speak too soon !! Continues to full crash/lock system and having to power down to recover. Looked further and discovered that I only have a EVGA 600W PSU, I thought I had a 650W. Anyway have a 850W Corsair on the way, fingers crossed this cures it. Will keep you posted, as they say.
  20. Didn't know that, but not far off it with 650W. Absolutely agree, I cant understand it either. Not 100% sure what you mean by this, but if you are inferring that I may be holding back some info (for whatever reason) then I can assure you I most certainly am not, at least not purposely or anything that I feel may be relevant. I only tried it for a little over an hour earlier, so may well be a little premature to say the problem is solved.
  21. OK, looks like I may have stumbled on something, YAY! Went to swap out the mem sticks and noticed something when I went to release the second one, wasn't 100% sure, but it just seemed like it unlocked a bit too easily. Anyway cleaned the contacts and reseated them and MSFS2024 had been running for over an hour now. Don't think it ever did before so fingers crossed it behaves itself now. Very strange the difference though between 2020 and 2024 on the same machine. Also very strange that it 'passed' all that OOCT threw at it.
  22. Was that not just with the Ryzen 5's or do you mean all the 5000's ? Anyway dropped mem speed to 3000mhz and still the same unfortunately. Tried it, besides a bit more stuttering it also crashed. All temps. are fine, nothing over 75 - 80C and no screaming fans. Looks like that will be my next step, good advice, thanks. I did a few of the online sites that supposedly work out your required PSU and they came back with 400-450W I have nearly 50% more. Going to start moving the memory sticks about and see what happens.......... Thanks to all for your advice, will report back.
