Photorealistic DC-10 - They don't make them like this now !
When i saw the panel i was instantly transported into the insides of a DC-10. Nowadays it's all just "plastic" no matter how good the quality is. I wonder what's missing... Lighting? Proper photo textures? I wish we could see some cockpits like this one in MSFS.

Aerosoft releases update for their A346
It still needs a lot of QoL improvements. Pushback isn't fixed, there's no way to persist the "OFF" on that annoying auto-save feature, there's no auto step climb among many others (bad modeling and textures included). All the rest seems to work fine and i had a nice uneventful 13h30 flight yesterday. This is what it was built for (very long hauls) and it delivers there.

9850X3D MSFS2024 Benchmarks
1080p benchmarks then people run their simulator at 4k and any difference simply goes away. A 7800x3D which is way more efficient than a 9800x3D will perform about 3-5% less. Why do they even run benchmarks at 1080p which most people don't even use? I know the idea is to remove any GPU limitations, but it's stupid nevertheless because it doesn'r reflect real use for most.

PMDG 737-700 Drops Thur 4/9
Are they really re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re selling the 737 or is this a free update for whoever got it previously?

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
From Tom on discord: Rev A is an Aerosoft One file fix to resolve some issues some users were having. There are no changes to the aircraft itself and it matches 1.0.1

iniBuilds L-1011: Out
I just don't have room for another heavy :( I got the MD-11, A343, A346, A300-600 and soon (tm) the B767 from BlueBird. These are all the heavies i need... Well, at least until someone produces a proper A330 lol :)

This will be a skip. Marketplace plus F70/100 and B757 coming in.

Official Aerosoft-Toliss A340 trailer and livestreams of it
The A343 feels like a completely different animal, way more immersive, a globally quite better simulation of an Aircraft when everything is concerned. My guess is that once the model updates come out and they do a proper "nose job" on the 346 plus fix those wings we will see it more as a 346. This and someone actually picking up the paintkit and leveling it up so that good painters can do it justice because i honestly don't believe Aerosoft will do anything to it. Systems are not bad at all and the aircraft flies really well but there are some issues that either reveal a bad QA prior to release or still some inexperience with MSFS. Coming from X-Plane the latter seems to be acceptable. Still, when some AI traffic insists on breaking the RVSM rules, it's frequent to hear "tra-tra-tra-tra-tra-tra-tra-tra-tra-tra-traffic" until traffic decides to move away, odd RA callouts on departure with slower climbs, etc. My ACARS also frequently detects "engine X shutdown, engine X started" and the same behaviour for beacon and strobe lights. Again, maybe something related to not that much experience with MSFS integration? I dunno, just guessing here. Let's hope for the best as this lovely beast deserves proper treatment. Inibuilds, PMDG, Fenix also had their issues here and there, happens to all i guess, let's give them some more time - And i mean Toliss, i don't expect anything good from Aerosoft unfortunately.

Sounds like it is what's happening. I'll try that, thanks for the tip!

Strange... Mine is always "ON" when i start it. Do you have any idea if the aircraft has a config file somewhere where it stores its data?

These are still missing: - Auto Step climbs; - Ability to save settings such as "autosave" which i have to disable all the time; - Ability to configure RA callouts; - Model issues (nose, wings, etc) - Seems to be WIP for next update! - Extremely poor bump mappings, texture quality, even grammar errors in some liveries (THAI for example); - SimConnect issues. On flight logging systems, sometimes engines toggle themselves OFF and ON along with Beacon lights OFF and ON, causing incorrect penalties (minor issue but still...);

BlackSquare Caravan Professional out
Yeah i guess that's the best solution, i do have a weak spot for the C208. I'll just get the bundle and see whether i can remove the pod somehow - additional fun :) Thank you @ryanbatc @Bert Pieke!

BlackSquare Caravan Professional out
Quick question: Can you remove the cargo pod from the cargo variant? This might sound silly, but i rather buy the non-cargo variant if the pod cannot be removed. Thanks.

Devs being aware that updates are required and working on them is always a good thing. Let's hope they come quick, it will certainly improve the already pretty good experience.

iniBuilds L-1011 to be released in March MP exclusive
I bought the 343 on the MP and absolutely hated the experience - Buggy thing wouldn't update unless you select another A/C from the list. Once it made it to the Ini Manager, no issues at all. Not gonna do it again, when it releases on the manager we'll see if i still want it or if the hype vanishes.

I'm a hardcore heavy metal flyer :) There's no separating me from the MD-11, A343 and now even the A346 with hopes it'll get better :)

So someone with more knowledge finally uncovered the veil over Toliss. It seems it's not as deep as everyone was thinking. Either their fame from XP is not accurate (or low expectations) or they just failed/decided not to implement as much as their XP version here in MSFS. How easy the tables turn, eh?

I just can't find it "immersive" with these textures. It's an amazing A346 simulator, great sound, nice flight model (that i'm aware of - not an actual pilot) but when you LOOK at anything... Ugh. If you don't care much about texture quality, go for it. To me it's overpriced because of this, and it's not even a native MSFS2024 model for €72 (if you include my 23% VAT which i fortunately avoided). Whether we like it or not, a good graphic package is important and the bar has been set very very high already.

The Thai repaint has grammar errors and a huge noticeable line dividing sections above the wings on the main fuse (this is the best i can explain). The Virgin Atlantic repaint looks dull, plain, very low-res, reminds me of FSX. I honestly hope someone picks this up and adds the missing bump maps, reflection layers etc. This is not MSFS2024 level at all. Same with the cockpit, i hope someone does a remake (or Aerosoft - They definitely should). As for the systems, love it. Joy to fly, VERY heavy and feels like the 75 meter beast it is. Nice work Toliss.

Yeah €72 is steep for this addon. I have a pilot friend with an UAE address, he got one copy for me with no VAT and that's an ok price in my opinion. Nothing illegal, he got two copies, gave me one and i paid. Simple as that.

Well, i do. Some annoyances here and there but the overall feel of the plane is great. I can see these minor things being addressed sooner or later, i really like it and can recommend it for Heavy Airbus lovers.

Heh yeah :) Yes, i have seen it in other forums. It's probably something that will come as an update later, many requests are up already.

Can't really tell. This is just from what i've seen, if it does have more simulated systems, props to them, that's what we need: High fidelity and deep system simulation.

The guy in that video needs glasses. The difference is quite large in favour of the IniBuilds where texturing is concerned. I immediately noticed it when i loaded the A346, it feels "X-Plane-ish" while the IniBuilds feels more modern and elaborated. This is not me trying to bring down X-Plane in any way, it's just the way i see it. The cockpit same thing, the A343 just looks and feels better than this A346. Deal breaker? Hardly. Sounds seem to be pretty on pair (Although CFM vs RR Trent 500...). The A346 sounds absolutely spectacular but so does the A343. No complaints with either. Performance on my computer: Same thing. I have no idea what is he talking about the 343 has worse performance. To me: Unnoticeable. EFB: The IniBuilds is quite a bit better. This is not something i use A LOT, but IniBuilds version is more intuitive, easier to find things and more responsive to clicks... Also, i don't seem to find an option to "auto step climb" on the A346 which is quite important to me as on the current 6300nm flight i'm performing is definitely useful. As far as systems are concerned, IniBuilds also seems to be a bit more complete. This is not something i care too much about as long as the model can fill my needs which are not very high - I am not a real pilot although i have many years of sim experience (not the same thing of course). Flight model, once again i am not a pilot, like the guy in the video, both feel good to me. This is not really worth much coming from someone with no real experience but again it feels good to me on both. I didn't land the A346 yet - Flying now. As far as animations are concerned this is where things break up. The A346 needs quite a few tweaks. I read the word "ridiculous" on the thread previously and i have to classify the taxi animations on the A346 as such. Come on, it's VERY bad... Too jumpy, feels like a toy. I didn't find a way to tweak these like the wingflex animations... The wing animation is also kind of odd but it can be tamed a bit, so no biggie. All in all both real real good additions to my MSFS2024 simulator, i am a tiny bit disappointed with the A346 after "feeling" the A343 for so many hours, but i believe Toliss will enhance it more with time (and hopefully Aerosoft with some texturing here and there). So, to me, a great A346 and i hope to fly many hours with it and maybe even more than the 343, who knows... Now let me dig a bit more and see if i can find that "auto step climb" thing, if it does exist.
