Hi, I just purchased this but after trying it out I have some questions. It looks great but these things are bothering me. What is the difference in spotty view and ai traffic? when I load the map and click on an airplane what view do I use? How can I stop the plane from jumping around? it's very distracting and really takes away the fun. The dox says turn down your fps but I have not found a way to do that. Which is the best way to watch an ai plane fly from gate to gate. Do I use the fstl traffic board, spotty view or ai planes button? Why do some planes just disappear into thin air? I was following a plane and then it just stopped and I had to reload spotty How can I use the keyboard to change the angles. When I am in spotty mode the plane view is distorted and I want to be able to zoom in and out or up and down. In spotty mode I can't move the camera at all and in ai planes view I can't fully move the camera either. That seems to be the big ones for me for now. I really would appreciate any help thanks

wow, can you show us exactly how you did this. I have stayed away from the game for over a year because I could not do this. Is this some kind of new program because I have not kept up with add on programs. Thank you

so, I discoved that I have the same problem. I haven't played msfs in months so i decided to start again. My first stop was to run aigm my old favorite. I knew there would be an update but those don't usually cause problems. it first said my folder location was too long but I already had that fixed, then it said I can change the location but the program immediately closes. I read this thread and I took out the beta in the folder and made sure the manifest file was correct. I go into my aigm program and everything is gone. It tells me to setup everything again. There is no way that I am going to download all those plans again so there needs to be something I can do. I still have the traffic and sim objects folder on the computer folders so that must help. I have been with you since the beginning but this is something that is going to make me jump ship. You guys have always been helpful in the past and I am hoping for some help once again.

Hi guys, I have not played MSFS in months and I wanted to know if there is anything new available for ai traffic and planes? My specific questions are as follows: 1. Is there a program that would allow me to follow an ai plane from gate to gate without actually flying it myself? 2. Are there any new camera programs that allow me to plane spot at airports without moving with the keyboard keys? 3. Are there any new ai plane models available that can be flown by the simulator? 4. Any new traffic programs or utilities/tools? They can be free or paid for but I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars, thank you

Hello everyone, I am a huge ai plane spotter and even though the ai system is terrible, I still would like to watch planes. I would like the ability to place a camera near a runway and have it track the airplanes that pass by. It would also be great if the camera would track the next ai automatically. I would be able to watch the camera track planes as they arrive and depart. I don't really need an expensive program that changes cockpit views and recording options because that's not of interest to me. This was available in P3DV4 but I would like to have this in MSFS too. I hope I am explaining it correctly. I haven't installed MSFS yet but I think it's time to test the waters and having the tracking ability would make it an easy choice. Thank you

I bought it at simmarket and I will send you my order info. I would love to use a newer version because maybe that helps. I was able to install fine so I don’t think it’s a bad install. Is there a tutorial for setting up the stationary camera because the documentation didn’t really help me. Then again maybe the new version will fix everything 😉

Hi, I am using the 3.04.b01 version. I have been combing through you tube videos for help but they are using a different (older?) version. Yes I would like to able to sit near the runway and watch the planes come in. If I remember from before the camera would follow the airplane as it arrives and then automatically switch to the next airplane arriving. I remember spending hours just watching planes arriving. But the follow function is not working for me. I can see all my airplanes in the list but if I click follow nothing happens in the sim. Also if I click the camera pod button I get an unhandled exemption and if I click the stationary button it puts me into the ocean which is strange when I am flying in colorado.in the older videos they just clicked on an ai and it showed up in the game. Is there a way to get that older version instead of the newer one. I am using P3D V4.5 and I installed the proper version so I don't know what else to check.

Hello, I recently came back to P3D V4 and I am getting all my addons back in order. It's been a while so I need a refresher course on AI Tracker X for P3D V4. I installed correctly but it's not working for me. I want to be able to sit at a runway and watch all the planes flyby. I see all the ai traffic in the list but if I click follow AI it doesn't show anything in the game itself. There is a follow window popup but clicking on any of the options doesn't result in anything either. I have the aitrackerx selected in the vehicle menu but I just can't get anything to view. the one thing is that if I click on the camera pod I get an unhandled exemption message so that's definitely a problem. I know this can be done because I used to have it before and it worked great but now I seem to have forgotten how this program works. I would appreciate any help or advice thanks.

It turns out that I was trying an even older version that I had. There have been several versions of many sceneries and I bought them all. So I tried the newest MMMX scenery and so far it works exactly like you explained. You saved me again and I thank you

I tried to install but I don't get the separate folders rather than a bunch of bgl's that I don't know how to add to the scenery entries. It won't let me add the bgl's to the scenery entries. Is there some different way to do this?

Hi guys, I recently came back to P3D V4 and have been working hard to get all my add ons working but I need help with one. Its Taxi2Gate MMMX that was made for FSX but It was working with P3D. I swore that I bought another MMMX from a different company that was great but can't remember which one. I have read the tutorial on how to get MMMX working in P3D V4 but the steps did not work for me due to not having three folders that need to be added to the scenery library. I was wondering if anyone has any advice to get this working. I don't mind paying again for a working MMMX but I can't find one? Thank you.

yes, I have traffic working because of the file changes. So far it works in STB because when I compile I can see the airline package names from the scenery/world/scenery folder. When I was in the traffic manager I downloaded the zipped airline package files and then when I installed them using the manager I had to point to those zipped airline files on a folder on my computer. I hope I did it correctly because I'm sure you will tell me that there was a much easier way and I could have saved hours of time. Which is pretty much the way things go for me. Thanks again

Well that was fun. I took your suggestion and replaced my aifp traffic files with the bgl ones. It took a long time but I think it will be worth it. The million dollar question is can i delete all the zipped traffic files if they are now in the program? In the past you couldn't do a single small thing with the files otherwise you have to start everything over. It would be just to save some computer space if I could put them on a zip drive if needed later. Thanks again

ok, so here's what I got. I installed every package into P3D using aifp because I didn't know about the bgl option. They all load fine in the game but my problem came with STB because I didn't know you had to run the traffic manager to see anything into the game. I kept doing it the old way and kept wondering why the traffic manager kept popping up when P3D is launched. Then it would show aircraft in the traffic manager but not in the game. I remember back in the day the (bgl) files were listed individually in the scenery/ world scenery folder and I could add repaints and stuff like that. When I ran STB it did not show all those individual flightplans rather it just showed a trafficcarriers file. I think I will start to delete a few packages and then put them back in using the bgl but I just want to make sure it's done right. Thanks for your help and I am glad people are still using and supporting P3D.

so that means that I need to delete my whole aig manager and then start fresh. How can I do that without messing around with files and folders. what happens to all the data that could be leftover like traffic and model files? i just want to do this right have a clean reinstall and not hqve any conflicts or problems. I am using P3D V4 if that helps. thanks

How do you select to use bgl instead of the default for the installer. Things change pretty quick because it used to only be bgl files and now there is this new thing. I did not see a bgl choice and now I have downloaded all the packages into P3D. I have noticed STB not playing well with the traffic controller and that is not a good thing. If I need to install all the packages again then so be it because I want them to work with STB and I have a pretty fast computer 😉

Aha, so that's the rub. I didn't know that traffic controller was needed because before it was just an extra addon that you could use or not. I will use ai companion as well but I always loved STB for my needs. Can you choose either bgl or aifp and which is better? I just went with what the traffic manager defaults where, but I am concerned about where to put the traffic files on my computer. I know in the past it was very very important to put them in the right place. Thanks guys

thanks for your suggestion but it wasn't for me. I really love super traffic board and want to use that but I am having so much trouble with it. This takes me right back in the day when I used to pull my hair out using P3D and addons. It seems I am pulling my hair out again but this time there is no more STB forums, website, or videos for help so I am relying on the experts to help me. My biggest problem is using STB with AIG OCI and I can't get the AI in P3D to show up. I can install packages fine but when I load up STB there is no data to click on. If I can get that to work together then everything will be fine but for now it's hours of frustration. So I would appreciate any and all help. Thanks

yes, I am using AIG but I never heard of ai companion. How is it different from Super Traffic Board? I like to follow a plane from gate to gate and not do so much actually flying just spotting.

Hi everyone, I just came back from msfs and I wish I never left. I have also discovered that I forgot everything in P3D V4 and I need some help. I can figure out most things but there is an addon that I am having trouble with. I would like to know how to install and setup Super Traffic Board. I was my favorite addon and pretty much the reason I came back to P3D. They don't seem to have a website or forum anymore so finding help is not easy. This is why I posted on this forum because you guys have always helped out in the past and I need you again. Thank you

So what I am really missing is the supertrafficboard program which controlled everything on its own from gate to gate. Can Fshud do this? I don't fly at all so I would just like to make a flight plan and watch it do everything. I can't find a price unless I create an account which is weird. I would give it a shot before uninstaling MSFS 2020 so hopefully it will work. I do have BATC but it's a little too involved for me and it doesn't do what I want.

I will try to make this short. I enjoyed playing P3D for years but I moved on to MSFS. In P3D I enjoyed watching planes at airports and I especially enjoyed watching a plane fly from gate to gate using Supertrafficboard and watching arrivals and departures using the camera app. When I moved to MSFS I thought I would have the same experience and maybe even better. That has not happened and I haven't used it in over a year hoping things would get better. So then MSFS 2024 has come along and so far it's the same problem and now I don't think MSFS will improve because everyone has moved on to the new game. So now here is the question and dilemma, should I go back to P3D where everything was working fine but maybe a little outdated graphics, should I keep MSFS hoping for a change/update or should I buy MSFS 2024 and hope that things are added as time goes on. I know its a game for flying planes realistically but this is how I choose to enjoy my game so I don't need any haters saying why did I buy a flying simulator just to watch planes moving and flying on their own. thanks all.

Are you talking about the AI traffic situation? because if you are then I am 100 percent in agreement. I would love to buy all these new fantastic sceneries but if the AI won't behave then I have to pass on all of them. It's really too bad because I am really not getting enjoyment from this game years after release. At this point I am hoping the new game will work better in this aspect but I will definitely wait to buy this time.
