  1. I had loading issues with MSFS2020 after upgrading to 572.16 and 572.24. I could occasionally get into the sim but it would often permanently hang when loading a flight and occasionally CTD. Running a 13900k and 4090. After going back and forth with some trial and error I found the problem for me to be the newest version of the Nvidia app. As of now I have reverted to an older driver and the previous version of the Nvida app and have had no issues. Hopefully they will release a more stable version soon, there were slight improvements to performance with DLSS4.
  2. This is a good option when trying to save a few frames or if like me, during the summer, the limited use of the simulator does not justify the RT subscription. Another great addition by Nico for the PSXT program.
  3. Hello Nico, I am also unable to get 7.5.0 to start on my machine after an update. Thanks
  4. Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I am still having the error on my system, despite uninstalling/reinstalling, and also unselecting auto start and only starting once everything is running. I also did a restart of the computer. Both were working together with previous versions of the software (PSXT has been updated several times during this time as well).
  5. I have been following this thread but have not read it in its entirety. I am now having a compatibility issue with this app when running PSXT traffic simultaneously. It turns red and says MSFS compatibility error. Either program will run without issue on their own.
  6. The scenery has just been uploaded to the file library and hopefully will be available for download soon. Thanks for all of your interest in the project.
  7. Yes, I will do that. I am hoping to have it released tomorrow, but maybe Sunday if I can't get to it tonight. I will link it here in the post once it's in the library. Thanks for your interest.
  8. I'd like to do Port Columbus. I already have the terminal and tower of Columbus roughly done on my computer so I could probably do it in a few weeks. I am however tempted to really learn gmax or re create the buildings using sketch up in order to improve the quality and performance. I might do a quick version of CMH like DAY and then go back and upgrade it later.
  9. I have completed and am in the final stages of testing a freeware scenery package for the Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio. Like with many small to medium sized airports, the FSX rendition looks nothing like the real world version. This scenery includes a custom terminal building, moving jetways, and an AFX file with accurate parking assignments. Also modeled is the new 255 foot air traffic control tower, terminal parking garage, the Fed Ex building, the PSA Airlines headquarters and maintenance hanger, the former Emery Worldwide cargo sort facility, the airport hotel, and hangers for fixed base operators Stevens Aviation and Wright Brothers Aero. More than a thousand objects have been added to enhance detail around the airport using Flight 1’s excellent instant scenery program. AI Traffic has been tested to ensure efficient flow. The landclass file has also been adjusted to better reflect the real airport. Much of this scenery was actually developed some time ago using older modeling software. Although it has been updated, it is obviously not as detailed or complicated as some of the better commercial products on the market today. However, it has been tested with both an Intel I7 machine and an older Intel Core 2 Duo system to ensure satisfactory performance. I anticipate releasing the package on Avsim on Saturday December 1st. I look forward to sharing this package and to any input that anyone may have. Please find below five screenshots (resized and compressed per forum rules) as a preview of the package!
  10. I have just completed a fresh install of Windows 7 and FSX. All is very good however I forgot to save one of my programs, Instant Scenery from Flight 1.I noticed that they no longer sell the original version and therefore do not provide a download anymore from their site. Does anyone know where I might be able to find a copy? I was able to reactivate my key and obtain my serial from their website, but I do not have the software.ThanksMatt
  11. Here, although its not much of a website.http://www.flightsimdesigns.com/This is their site. I shoud restate my earlier comment-- their scenery blows the MegaSceneryEarth stuff out of the water at least in Florida, and that is all they sell for the moment. The newest release is better now with night textures and water mapping (original version was day only). I am very happy. The textures are of great color and are very crisp with no cloud markings on the ground.I am also very happy with my MegaSceneryEarth SLC, CLT, and NYC, however I do miss the original MegaSceney products such as Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Hawaii, which in my opinion are the best photoscenery packages for the US due to the high res photo scenery along with proper and detailed autogen annotation.
  12. My first purchase was the Tampa city pack and it is simply terrible. The color is very off and there are clouds on the ground all over the place. Secondly, the color changes drastically between tiles creating a very unrealistic appearance. I have also purchased the Salt Lake City pack and it on the other hand is excellent. Charlotte and New York are also both good.I do not care for the autogen with MegaSceneryEarth and remove the .agn files from the folders.Bottom line, the Florida titles are very wahsed out and of a very low quality. Some of the other titles are however quite good. Look carefully at the coverage area before you buy--if it looks washed out it probably is not very good.I have recently purchased some south Florida scenery from FlightSimDesigns and it blows the MegaScenery product out of the water in terms of quality.
  13. Can't take credit for the grass, it's REX. I have not changed any ground textures, and doubt I will be at least with this release. The sky is also REX but that is how I use FSX. There is however a custom landclass file. Thanks for your interest.
  14. Yes the airport hotel is included, with a basic rendition. Would add a pic, but can't since this is not the first post in the thread.
  15. Hello,Please find below some images from my first scenery project, the Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio. This is a freeware project and will be released to Avsim and Flightsim hopefully within the week. It is a project that I have had on my computer for several years, and have recently updated it to work in FSX.It features a custom landclass, custom terminal and airport buildings, moving jetways, a custom AFCAD, as well as thousands of objects around the airfield. It has night textures and has been designed with performance in mind. Dayton is a medium size airport for which there is no current scenery package, and like many default airports, the original FSX version looks nothing like the real thing. I am making some final texture adjustments and will be adding the parking garage which is currently being constructed in front of the terminal. I am anticipating a release on or before 01/02/10.Merry Christmas to all and please let me know what you think.
