  1. Thanks, I suppose I was trying to get the base FPS very stable but have reverted to FG at 120 fps and works well (minimum fixed to 100 and max 400). I was reading in earlier posts that you have been trying to change the aggressive TLOD behaviour of fixed mode, but with the latest RC1 I am still getting TLOD being returned to 100 after I get an FPS drop when I switch views from the flight deck to a wing view for instance where FPS would generally recover quickly back to my 120 fps target. Are there any other settings I can play with to make this less aggressive? Have also noticed for me that using the optimising settings at the top (i.e. physical cores/power plan etc) increases my RDRthread significantly so turned if off - believe this has been reported before but thought I'd give it as feedback anyway if helpful.
  2. Question on settings, I am running FPS lock of 40 internally and then apply 3x FG. I have tried to select “NFR” to 40 fps so that autofps looks to optimise against the base FPS (as that’s the one I try to keep stable), but the NFR box turns yellow an keep resetting to FG (for which I assume I can’t use 40 fps to optimise against). What’s the recommended setting for this case? Would like to try the free setting but never been able to have smooth panning at TLOD > 100 on the ground with Tobii head tracking despite top end system..
  3. Was hoping for better PMDG777 compatibility, have a PFP3 but can’t seem to get it to work with the 777-200er.. with -300er keys do seem to work but would quite like them to make it compatible with the screen working too..
  4. As much as PMDG hype up the sounds, and whilst they seem an improvement and I quite like them - the first thing my other half (captain on 737 irl) said was “well this sounds nothing like a 737 in the flight deck” so there’s probably more things to fix than just the touchdown sounds..
  5. If seen some good reports on performance, oddly enough I’m getting 10 fps less than in fenix and Ifly..
  6. Hm I only tried it in SU3, had one good short test flight but since then have had multiple WASM freezes unfortunately. Such a shame, love the addon especially with the Boris soundpack. I did get the FMC working too with AviaCDU, just needed to add the three broadcasting lines into the 737options.ini
  7. Does anyone have this working with the PMDG 737 in FS2024? I get a black screen, although license is advertised as working with 2020 and 2024.
  8. Are you sure you are picking up the FOV number? The 84 doesn’t feel like it’s right, my number was more around 1.0 which I subsequently reduced to about 0.6 which I calculated by diving the FOV by 57.3.
  9. I see quite a few using both ASFS and realturb together. I do own ASFS but haven’t got it installed as I ended up using real world weather in MSFS as I didn’t like the active weather depiction mode. If I install realturb, is there any added benefit of using ASFS in passive mode?
  10. Very interesting, showed that my FOV was way off and had to zoom in much more. Only drawback is now that scenery looking much blurrier due to the extra zoom, but really feel it makes a positive difference in terms of sense of speed so will keep it regardless!

  12. I’ve tested with some overlays from nvidia inspector - that’s showing that the indicator is working but that MSFS2024 is somehow not requesting VRR/Gsync. Starting to pull my hair out over this, especially as it was working fine before I reinstalled W11..
  13. 4090 on 566.36, tried rolling back to these but still no luck. Interestingly I did have GSYNc working before I reinstalled windows with a variety of drivers and also indicator was showing.. in my useropt.cfg I have noticed that even though I have selected full screen, windowed is set to 1 and keeps being overridden whenever I change it to 0. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.
  14. Due to random crashes in MSFS2024 that would completely restart my PC, I decided to do a complete reinstall of windows 11. However, even since reinstalling I’ve not been able to get g-sync to work with MSFS2024 again (it is working elsewhere such as the nvidia pendulum demo and did work before). I have an AW3225QF G-Sync compatible monitor with an RTX4090 and checked all the settings in NVCP related to G-sync are turned on and also forced though global and MSFS profiles. I’ve also turned the G-sync indicator on but is not showing in MSFS2024 (before reinstall it would work). I’m running MSFS in full screen mode. Anyone any idea on what other settings to check?
  15. I’m running it on 2024 (13900k and 4090) and seeing quite a bit worse performance than Fenix unfortunately.

  17. Brilliant, that seems to have done the trick! I’m using Tobii together with Opentrack for head tracking, but now with internal FG and 2x losless the smoothness is absolutely incredible - thanks for your help!
  18. Opened a topic on this yesterday, but maybe some of the experts here might know the answer! I’ve been experimenting with FG and LS in MSFS2024 after previously just using the internal FG (using a 4090). I hit around 80 FPS with just internal, but with head tracking just feel it’s not smooth. Adding 2X LS drops my base frames to 60 but then gets multiplied to 120FPS which is smooth as butter and best I’ve ever seen. That said, that only works when the mouse cursor is in view. Once I leave it for a few seconds or use the middle mouse button to pan around, I can see my lossless frames dip from 120 to about 80-90, making my head tracking stuttery. As soon as I use the mouse again and cursor is in view, all super smooth again. anyone else using FG + LS who is seeing something similar?
  19. I have been experimenting over the last few days to get the best smoothness in MSFS2024 - particularly since I am using head tracking. One of the things that seems to work well in general is frame gen (using an 4090 here) but X2 lossless scaling, where I have a good balance of clarity and ultra smoothness when moving my head. However, only issue I have that this seems to only work when the mouse cursor is active - as soon as it goes away it looks as if lossless scaling does not recognise the FG generated frames anymore. Initially I thought this had to to with the screen losing focus - but also if I click the middle mousewheel to pan around (and the cursor disappears) I am seeing the same effect. I'd rather keep the mouse cursor on the screen and have the smoothness - anyone know if there's a way of achieving that, or to avoid this issue altogether?
  20. Interesting. I have taken any framelocks off but still getting significant amount of ghosting, more than you appear to get in your videos (which looks pretty acceptable). That said, I have now tried lossless scaling and combined with the built in FG, just wow, never had smoothness like this before with TAA..!
  21. Think my problem is that whilst DLAA looks great, I find the ghosting in glass cockpit displays too distracting. I’m running TAA + FG on a 4090 in 4K which works pretty well in FS2024 on ultra settings and autoFPS to manage TLOD (get better frames compared to FS2020), with only some dips at airports. Just missing a bit of smoothness sometimes (frames locked at 80 FPS on 240 Hz gsync screen).
  22. Interestingly I’m getting far worse performance. Not sure if this is the update or the new NVIDIA driver.. lost about 10 fps somehow.
  23. Same here. How good it would be if there was an application capable of handling ATC for multiplayer on a server, would make up for there being limited controllers available on vatsim, but probably completely different ballgame to develop.
  24. I get high VRAM usage on my 4090 as well in 2024 once the TLODs go up. Think this is a great setting in autoFPS, similarly as above I’ve increased my FPS from 60 to 80 as in cruise I can normally easily maintain this with TLOD 400 and then the VRAM doesn’t overflow and I get stutter free. Will try if there’s other settings that impact it, not sure of texture resolution from ultra to high will make a big difference in either visuals and VRAM usage, potentially allowing for a higher LOD. textures at ultra and LOD 400 still look blurry anyway compared to 2020..
  25. I don’t know, but think I may have read somewhere that they could in MSFS if they could take full control or have proper a proper API. Obviously it’s more that it’s major drawback against existing live weather within MSFS.
