I am experiencing the same issue with the new driver even with change in profile name. It messes up the Nvidia Control Panel along the way. I keep going back to 359.06.
I agree. I have had Nvidia GPU's since 2010 and never had an issue updating drivers. The recent drivers (364.51) though cause significant shimmer, regardless of the anti-aliasing setting used, on a relatively new GTX 970. The problem went away when I reverted back to 359.06.
I am afraid my results are not as good with the 197.13 and getting graphic stutters. While my system was only built recently and I am still trying to fine tune it, the previous drivers seem to perform better. This is my experience with a GTX260 anyway on an i7 860 with 4gb ram.Regards,Miro
Just out of curiosity, do you see the High Performance Plan on the Power Option Screen with a radio button next to it? If not, you may have to click the arrow where it says "Show Additional Plans". You should see High Performance and you can select it from there. This link helped me in case you need it:Windows 7 Power OptionsRegards,Miro
