As some have pointed out, the PFP7 has a better match for the keys for the Max but if you look at Winwings own release notes, they are clearly investing in making the PFP3 work with the Max. I’ve opted for the PFP3 (which is physically a match for NG) because I’d prefer what WinWing is supporting vs relying on a third party MobiFlight profile. I dunno. There’s no ideal solution, just compromises.

Well for me I find the best solution is often a combination of MobiFlight and SimApp Pro. I have the airbus FCU, EFIS, MDCU and the PFP7 and PNP3 and I just ordered the new PFP4. In most cases if I want the FCU AND EFIS/MCDU or a PFP with the EFIS/MCDU SimApp Pro manages the PFP while Mobiflight manages the EFIS/MCDU. Covers most situations for me, and since Mobiflight is open source there is always a plethora of new profiles to support new planes. YMMV TANSTAAFL -B

Thanks for this insight… but do you need both SimAppPro and MobiFlight or you just choose to use it this way? I was under the impression that SimAppPro could do it all (for supported planes on their devices). Oh, and if you fly the ifly 737 Max in 2024, what device would you suggest? For the iFly Max in 2024 I use my PFP3n, my FCU/EFIS and a combo of SimApp Pro and Mobiflight. SimApp drives the PFP3n device and Mobiflight drives the FCU/EFIS. This is also the setup I use for the Asobo Max in 2024 and all the PMDG 737’s in 2020. Gear and software work well in all cases and if you obtain any Winwing gear I suspect you will be well pleased. As for SimApp, for me so far only the Airbus MDCU with FCU/EFIS is managed by SA alone. It also depends upon what gear you are using. If just the PFP3n is used, SA is sufficient. Add MCDU/EFIS and more than likely a combination of SA and MF is needed. Good luck and Blue Skies. Finally in my original post I conflated MCDU and FCU. The MCDU is the Airbus equivalent of the Boeing PFP’s. FCU/EFIS are the top dash panels. PFP/MCDU are the flight plan computers respectively. -B Edited July 15, 2025Jul 15 by btacon

How do you work around this button label discrepancy? Im also ordering their PAP3 for auto pilot which should also work with SimAppPro I should think. We shall see. Thanks for your insights!

The correct screens appear in the PFP3N and LSKs are correct so you can continue with PFP3N entry for almost all entry, just not for certain key presses. There may be a better solution but switching to VC works just fine for me for now -B Edited July 15, 2025Jul 15 by btacon

For instance the departure arrival button on the max is top where the clb button is so changed it to match what the mcdu showed. I’m not home to have a look how I did sorry.
