March 14, 20251 yr HI guys, this has not happened before and i cant figure out why! Started PP app and app opens but... the 'disconnect' word keeps flashing and it wont connect... in fact, it looks like something is looping as in trying to connect but wont.. PC then becomes unresponsive and not even control-Alt-delete opens to terminate the program..have to switch off the PC itself to get it to close.. So to troubleshoot, ive done the following.. 1. Uninstalled and reinstalled pimax play 2. Checked the connections and usb ports - all working fine... 3. Installed latest graphic card drivers... 4. Cleaned the registry of any redundant files for PP... Never had this issue at all as usually connects first time! If any have had something like this happen, im all ears! March 15, 20251 yr When you checked the USB ports, did you try the PCL in a different one? Also, worth checking that where the cable plugs into the headset isn't pulling. March 15, 20251 yr That's what I was going to say. I've rare seen connection issues but I have seem them. Usually all I've had to do was unplug the USB and plug it back and restart the headset in Pimax Play. 4 minutes ago, AJZip said: When you checked the USB ports, did you try the PCL in a different one? Thanks AJ for chipping in... tried the the PCL in a different USB 3 port - no joy Cables checked and not pulling from headset I'm on the line to a pimax assistant who has told me to delete all pimax software and provided locations so no residual entities are still lurking round... unplug form the graphic card and leave the USB plu in.. then do a re-installation of the PP software... just about to do that and see how it goes! Yes, usually that would work and tried several times... the headset is recognized but had no option to restart in pimax play as the mouse would not interact with anything... looked like there was an endless loop of connecting and disconnecting... March 15, 20251 yr Author Follow up to the Pimax official suggestion... He suggested i do the following... Uninstall Pimax Play app Manually delete the following folders: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\PimaxClient C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Pimax C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\pimaxclient-updater C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\PiPlatformService C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\PiTool Make sure that when you do this, only the USB plug is in, nothing in the graphic card... Reboot Install Pimax Play and sign in... letting it load... Plug the cable in to the graphics card.. Low and behold it worked! Now works just fine, so looks like just uninstalling leaves behind residual folders and files that need to be deleted..once that's done its home and hose! Thanks for your input chaps, appreciated! i9 13900KF @ 5.5Ghz | MoBo MSI PRO Z690-A WiFi | Corsair Vengeance Black RGB RS 64gb DDR4 3200MHz | MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Vanguard SOC 32GB | MP33 Pro 1TB M.2-2280 NVME SSD for OS | Samsung 870 QVO 2.5" 4TB SSD SATA2 | Samsung 990 PRO 2TB | Corsair RM1000X 2021 1300W 80 Plus Gold PSU | Antec Dark Fleet DF700 Flux Gaming Case | Win 11 home | Samsung 65" 4K TV | G512 Keyboard | Razer Basilisk V2 Mouse | WinCtrl URSA MINOR 32 Throttle Metal / 32 PAC Metal | WinCtrl Ursa Minor Sidestick |Velocity One Rudder | MiniCockpit FCU and EFIS | WinCtrl MCDU | Stream Deck XL | Tobii Eye Tracker | Pimax Crystal Light | Doug
