September 1, 20241 yr Hello Many years ago I purchased Active Sky Next for my FSX running on Windows 7. I have now bought brand new PC Windows 11 to run P3D v.5. Can I transfer my purchase to my new setting? Does my old program will run with P3D v5? Finally how do I proceed to download Active Sky on the new computer? thanks in advance.

This could previously be purchased as a discounted update, providing users had the product key code of the original purchase. However that seems to no longer be the case, because the P3D products look to be reduced in price anyway. I think you will just need to purchase and download the new product for P3D4 and 5. Have a look at the Hifisim website. You will find all the necessary information there. Alternatively, look on the SimMarket website for Active Sky for P3D5. Downloading and installing are very straightforward. Edited September 1, 20241 yr by Biggles2010 John B
September 2, 20241 yr I have done just this same scenario. Used as16 with fsx, day one purchase of ASFS for msfs when it was released. Recently purchased p3d v5 to continue using my classic fsx planes and orbx scenery. I purchased as p3d last month for about 20 bucks I believe? Bargain. Works great and looks the same as the other versions except blue theme and different icon. Couldn't fly any of the sims without active sky. Russell Gough SE London
September 2, 20241 yr Author Hi Russel Thanks for your reply. Witn my Orbx ad on I did not have to repay to get the PD3 v5 versions since I had already purchaded them many years ago for FSX. I understand from your reply that it is not the case for Active Sky. We have to purchase again for p3d. Am i correct? have a nice day
