Real Turb v2

ABSOLUTELY! Sometimes it seems like people are still stuck 10 years in the past. Or we can call it paranoia. ))

As for RealTurb. Different airplanes require different settings, and these settings are not always logical. For Fenix Airbus I use 100/70 pitch/roll and even more than 100% for cloud turbulence. Much heavier FBW A380 requires not more than 50% or it's unstable especially at turns. The default MSFS turbulence is always at LOW.

Well that's your opinion and I have mine.

I find it strange you are attributing the use of antivirus programs to being "stuck in the past" and "paranoia".

I use RealTurb and think it would be helpful if the actual developers would clarify the reason for the warnings on anti virus scanners.

V2 of this product is well worth it. Actually hitting turbulence during cruise at FL340 caused me to have to climb to FL360 to find smooth air. I have been running it along side of FSrealistic and the

How does this compare to fsrealistic terbulance.

And do you have to turn it off in asfs if using real turb

Thanks

This is only speculation, as I don‘t know how RealTurb internally works or communicates with the sim. But some of this weather stuff (especially in past flight sims) used to attach to the application process to read / and manipulate it‘s memory due to the lack of official APIs to achieve the desired outcome.

While this is harmless regarding  this use case, this is exactly the behaviour you expect from malicious software. So some anti virus programs detect it as false positive - these programs just see „oh, this process wants to attach to some other and attempts to access it‘s memory“ -> Alert.

Real Turb compliments ASFS.

FSRealistic im not sure, I stopped using it as it was interfering with the landing in the Fenix.

What are the correct RealTurb settings for the Fenix A320 and MSFS 2020?

If it gives you any peace of mind, I just downloaded and installed RealTurb on my work laptop without incident. The laptop has both SentinelOne EDR linked to ConnectWise's SOC and Defender for Endpoint (the enterprise version of Defender).

Copilot: "SentinelOne EDR is linked to ConnectWise's Security Operations Center (SOC) through a strategic partnership where SentinelOne's technology is used as a core component of ConnectWise's managed detection and response (MDR) services. This integration allows ConnectWise to use SentinelOne's EDR to monitor and protect endpoints, with its SOC providing the monitoring, analysis, and threat response."

I'll let you know if I generate a support ticket 😁
