I merely said there is no evidence!

Nope!

You said...

"There is no extra-terrestrial life in the universe"

If you had merely said there is no evidence, then I wouldn't have responded because it's true. But you definitively said there was no extra-terrestrial life in the universe.

Now, you can argue about Carl Sagan's statement as much as you want, and invoke all manner of philosophical arguments, but the fact remains that your statement above in bold is inaccurate.

There's no evidence for other forms of life in the universe. Likewise, there's no evidence against other forms of life in the universe. And at this juncture, we've barely looked.

 Ohh gawd...

Perhaps if Kirkpatrick and Grusch posed together with the remains of a weather balloon they could put this to rest.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

A bit of wordsmithing here perhaps?

Grusch claimed he reached out to Kirkpatrick in April 2022, and never got a call back. This was actually before the creation of AARO (July 2022). Kirkpatrick is alleging that Grush never contacted AARO.....well...he didn't. Why wouldn't Kirkpatrick just say "he never contacted me" ?

Also, note that AARO apparently has yet to publish any contact information for people to get in touch with them (to deliver reports / testimony / evidence etc).

Similarly, the TIME article quoting Susan Gough (the Pentagon Spokeswoman) is a bit misleading. The article reads:

Quote

Nor has the Pentagon discovered “any verifiable information to substantiate claims that any programs regarding the possession or reverse-engineering of extraterrestrial materials have existed in the past or exist currently.”

Susan Gough actually said that AARO had not received any verifiable information (you can look up the actual quote)..... "The Pentagon" and "AARO" are not the same thing.

AARO did not (at the time at least) have Title 50 access to classified information, so would not be able to verify any claims relating to classified information. I'm not sure they could even hear / receive classified testimony.

So technically, Susan Gough could be telling the truth while further obfuscating the matter.

It's splitting hairs in both cases, but they appear to be very carefully worded (especially the response from the Pentagon), and you can spot the technicalities and inconsistencies if you're paying attention. It looks like very careful wordsmithing to avoid lying...and not the only time they've been seen doing it.

Doesn't this smell a bit funny?

When you’re “over the target” as they say, the ones hiding something tend to do the same thing. Those tactics have been seen many times.

Yes, I heard that this morning. No email address, no website, nothing.

Hmm... interesting stuff.

Are we really all that intelligent on a universal scale?

It could be that we are just first graders proud that we have learned the alphabet and are just now learning about numbers.

We have so much yet to learn before we can be definitive about anything out there visiting us and, perhaps more importantly, how they can get here.

We have sent probes like Voyager 1 and 2 out there to try and learn something but it's like throwing a pebble into the ocean and hoping something can see the ripple.  They've been out there for 46 years now.  What have we learned from them?

A few weeks ago I went to Animal Control and picked up a 4 to 5 month old kitten.  Watching him stumble around learning all about the confines of a small three room apartment with no idea what's beyond the front and back doors except what he sees through the back window when he stares out of it.  Perhaps that's us in the universe.  We are still stumbling around the apartment we call Earth and really know so little about our confines let alone whats beyond our front and back doors except what we see out the window into space.

I find these discussions quite entertaining.

I've said it before...

We don't know what we don't know, and I suspect we have little idea of the true nature of the universe we inhabit.

It's very possible (to me) that the measure of 'advancement' for a civilization is not necessarily a technological one. We may be barking up the wrong tree (to some extent) with UAP, thinking that we're only seeing highly advanced technology. The phenomena appear far too diverse in appearance and behavior for that to make sense.

We need to start looking into the cracks and pulling on the loose strings out on the fringes of "established" science.

Must say, I'm not a fan of Corbell.

I have never heard of a triangular aperture. Are they specific to night vision cameras?

Nope, some  have a triangular aperture, night vision or not. Not that common though. It depends if its a 5 blade or 3 blade aperture. Zeiss used to do lenses with three blades.

Back in the day I was a professional photographer. As soon as I saw the IR video that Corbell called a "pyramid" UFO (probably because it sounds more alien) I recognized it as bokeh. An out of focus highlight will appear as a globe of light (circle of confusion) and often take on the shape of the lens aperture. Its very common.  I mean the thing was even flashing in the same frequency any aircraft would. 🙄 But no, it has to be portrayed by these people as a big mystery and potentially alien.

I cringed when I saw Corbell and Knapp siting directly behind Grush in the hearing. With Corbell subtlety nodding at everything Grush said. 🙄

So, the chances are it was deliberately out of focus to produce this effect?

I don't think it was deliberate, no. The green triangle was from the Omaha incident, where several objects the navy referred to as drones were buzzing around the ships. One of the crew grabbed a camera and filmed it from the deck. Not surprising it was slightly out of focus.

So finally, the so called task force, admitted it was just an aircraft, after something like two years, which is quite astonishing it took them that long when it was pretty obvious what it was. Mick West analyzed the footage soon after it appeared, and recognized it as bokeh, he also identified the other triangles in the footage as stars. Anyone with a modicum of photographic knowledge would have realized what it was. Especially when it was flashing aircraft lights in just the right pattern. 🙄

What the other objects were that were buzzing around the ship we don't know. Drone's feasibly.

According to the video I posted, one of the guys doing the analysis for the UAP task force was that Skinwalker Ranch guy. 😁 So no wonder it took them two years to figure it out. The less said about Skinwalker Ranch the better.

For all you skeptics who scoff because none of the people claiming to have seen aliens are demanding to be tested on lie detectors. Or that in this day and age of mobile phones, nobody shows videos of their close encounters with these wonderful space creatures. Here is video proof of their remarkable abilities:
