July 16, 20232 yr All, Recently downloaded the latest version of the ATR and have a problem. I really thought I would get to to the bottom of this, as i used to fly the ATR in FS 2004 back in the day.....however here I am asking advice. I cannot get engine light on E2 on either aircraft to use HOTEL mode..... the majority of the time. I have followed various checklists to the letter and have had success 20% of the time. In short I power up from Cold & Dark, Batts, External Power, place route in FMC, check fuel follow checklists etc. Fuel pump 2 to run starter to A, B or A&B push starter 2 button, wait for NH to increase above 10% and place condition lever into feather position, I get no light. Looking on the PFD it is not showing any fuel flow % to the No.2 engine. I cannot think for the life of me what I am missing, other than the obvious no doubt which I am hoping one of you will point out to me. Thank you in advance Regards
July 16, 20232 yr You need to have the ready light on before switching on/ off hotel mode. For the ready light to be on your condition lever needs to be the fuel cut off or feather position and you need to have hydraulic pressure in the blue hydraulic circuit. To achieve this press the little button on the centre pedestal on the lower left side of the throttles 2/3 times and the ready light should come on on the overhead panel (make sure your blue hydraulic switch is on on the overhead) Edited July 16, 20232 yr by GreyStone93

July 17, 20232 yr This plane sure has its bugs. E.g., I got the EFB freezing several times, and still have not figured out how to load the plane from Simbrief data properly. There are also small glitches with the procedures. To get to hotel mode, you need to have the gust lock on, the fuel cut off, and have hydraulic pressure to see the Ready light. Use the Aux pump. If Ready is on, the Prop Brake will activate and indicate so. After starting the engine, the generator still shows Fault, by the way, but it will work when you disconnect the GPU. To disable the Prop Brake, I always start engine 1 fully. This should give the Ready light and you can disable the Prop Brake. Paul Schmidt We're fools to make war on our brothers in arms.
