July 12, 20232 yr I'm still running Nvidia 522.25 driver on my RTX 4090. I was wondering if it was time to update my drivers. I was leaning towards 531.29 based on some of the reviews I've read. I'm wondering if I will see a difference compared to my current drivers. I figured I ask since some of you have already updated your drivers and I was looking for some feedback. July 12, 20232 yr It's rare to see drivers make noticeable improvements...in general, if your current driver is working for you given the programs you're running, then you're good. That said, Microsoft does make changes to the low-level driver environment in some of its forced updates, and eventually you'll probably have to upgrade drivers to maintain compatibility. Bottom line--if it ain't broke, you don't have to fix it. July 17, 20232 yr i installed MSFS last week through Steam and the install program informed me that my 526.98 drivers were inadequate and recommending upgrading to newer 53x.xx drivers (sorry, can't remember the specific version, so I just went with the 536.40 drivers). So, I guess it depends on what you're flying.
