August 27, 20223 yr When I try to open my fsx it says: "Failed to start the process for Microsoft Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition: The application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect.Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxtrace.exe tool for more detail." Please help me!

September 5, 20223 yr Did you run the sxstrace tool or look at the log in the event viewer like the error says to? It'll tell you what file is corrupt or missing. My guess is it'll probably be one of the Visual C++ redistributables.
