February 27, 20224 yr In the upper right hand corner of my flight screen, in red letters, it says "1/4x Speed." Does that mean what I think it does, and if so how do I get back to normal speed?
February 27, 20224 yr Administrators You should be able to get to your "Sim Rate" settings and change it to 1X or one times the speed rate. February 27, 20224 yr Administrators OK just to verify....This is the FS2004 or FS9 forum and not the new Sim MSFS 2020. I'll be back in a minute after checking on something! WoW! Every thing is pointing towards the new Sim and not anything on FS2004 or FSX, for that matter! I remember that FSX had the Sim Rate on the upper tool bar if in windowed mode. Found this: To speed up the time of Flight Simulator's simulation with sim rate, you need to press the R, then the CTRL and + key on the numpad. To slow down the time of Flight Simulator's simulation with sim rate, you need to press the R, then the CTRL and - key on the numpad. February 27, 20224 yr Author Okay, thanks very much. I'll give that a try. When I played many, many years ago (with the R4D) I must have been running XP or even something earlier. Now I have the dreaded Windows 10, but so far I've made it all work.
February 27, 20224 yr Author Tried "R, then CTRL and + on Numpad." First of all, nothing happens when I press R. So I didn't get beyond that. What now?
February 27, 20224 yr Administrators This is a fairly poor picture, but if you can bring up something like this in "windowed" mode, then click on Options and Simrate will be in there!
