Denver is seeing seventeen inches of snow forecast for today and tomorrow.
Time to get out of Dodge (or perhaps fly over it)!

Breaking out on top with the sunrise coloring the morning sky. I can see the beacon light from an inbound to KDEN below and left. The TDv2 is an absolute joy.

Very nice series, Frank...!!...."17" inches snow, this weekend, wow...!!

I recall my one visit to Denver, where, after a ~(7-8) inches of snow, during the ensuing "quiet", I'd taken the scenic auto-route up the Rockies, at Rocky Mountain National Park, they had (nicely) cleared the roads up, and it was such an enthralling experience, at those higher elevations...with nothing but a wonderland of fresh snow, on either side...

[BTW, Frank, I wish to ask you, how do you feel about this RXP GTN on "FSX/SE" (looks like you're making good use of it, here), I've been meaning to get it for quite sometime, but have been dilly-dallying...]

It is excellent.  I have done some right seat ride-alongs in a GTN 750 equipped C310 and have been granted permission to "help out".  The pilot I have been up with has been astounded at my proficiency with it.  The RXP GTN uses the actual Garmin Trainer as it's foundation.  Garmin also routinely updates the trainer, and that has brought updated nav data to the trainer, and thus to the RXP gauge.  I do not fly without either an RXP GTN or GNS.

Ahhhh the turbine duke.  Another great addon for its day.  When I worked in Duluth as a controller we had a "Duke Convention" and it was like my lucky day haha....tons of dukes lined the ramp and I got to check them out.  Really nice pics too - miss those dual GTNs 🙂

That sounds great, Frank,...been granted permission to "help out"....🙂...

So, you have installed "two" GTN 750s in this aircraft, but, if I wish to just get my feet wet, 🙂....with "one" unit, for "FSX-SE", should I just get the GTN 750 (please see below)? These appear to be equally priced, though....(And, due to some reason, I'd thought, these worked in P3D only...while I see FS9 listed too...🙂....)

Thanks...!!

Best to move your interest over to the dedicated RXP FSX/P3D GTN specific forum here on Avsim.  You will likely need some help configuring for particular aircraft and there is a lot of history and member-helpers there.

Right, Frank, I've been eyeing the abundance of information...🙂...in the various Forums...

For starters, I'll focus on just one of my (many) Carenado aircraft that will accept the RXP GTN750...Installation first...and learning curve to follow...I'll take it slow...but, it should be fun...I can tell...! BTW, I've spotted your posts in the GTN Forum...🙂...thanks... again...! Cheers..!

Frank:

Without knowing what's up ahead....🙂...I got the RXP GTN750 (one unit), with their 30% off SALE. The E-Commerce purchase interface was a breeze...since I'd already an F1 Account before (had got F1's iFly 744V2, exactly the same way, just a couple of months ago)...

The (installed) Garmin Trainer Module itself is probably worth the price...

Thanks for the offer to help...will try to catch up in bits and pieces, though, no hurry, should be quite different an experience from learning PMDG CDU...🙂...but, I know, now, why (some of you) folks are so excited about it...🙂...Take care.

[BTW, I was checking Denver weather a bit, just now, Winter Storm Warning, and already 1-2 feet of snow across some of the mountains and foothills...therefore, glad you got to beat the storm (virtually)...]

They certainly got hammered.  Got a photo from a friend who lives on the west edge of the Denver metro.  It showed what looked like two feet of snow on top a picnic table, and the snow on the ground was almost up to the table top.  The snow on the table made it easier to see the depth than looking at the snow on the ground.

I got out before then.  Traveling to stay up with the Blues.... Though this trip instead of my commemorative Stanley Cup championship HondaJet I was in my RealAir TDv2.
