Says it's private? Was it like this?

Seems High is the sweet spot, clouds are a bit too compromised on medium for my liking.

No the OP video was an in depth description of each of the graphics and data settings options, meanings, visuals, frame rate hits, etc. Very knowledgeable guy. I downloaded the video an hour ago, don't have any idea why it's suddenly gone private.

However, you could select medium graphics and ultra for the clouds..........

Who would have thunk! This is a sweet deal. I feel like we have a ton more control over how we want this thing to look. I know you can't say much, but the availability of graphics options, does it allow for you to really find your sweet spot?

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Yep 🙂

My current rig is 7700K @5GHz, 32GB with Titan XP, really curious to see how well it performs in MSFS. Hopefully good enough for me to wait for 3080 coming out.

The sim performs great on my five-year-old rig. I think a lot of people are going to be very surprised to learn there's no option to increase or decrease the number of autogen buildings even in offline scenery. You really don't need such an option now. Performance is outstanding even on older systems like mine.

Hi David,

What are your specs?

Thanks.

Basically this is the first sim ever that follows the recommended specs. If you got mid to high specs you don't have much to worry about. My spec is on the high side and I never had issues with FPS but what really blows me away is I've been testing for months and never once did I get a CTD. Ultra settings, flying over NYC, London, Paris and Tokyo, not one single CTD. I fire up P3D V5, CTD in the first 10 mins of flying. It's a new era of simming.

Even on low settings it looks miles ahead of what we currently have. Great times...

Same here. I was expecting to need a Cray, but was really surprized how smoothly and performant it runs on my system (see sig). And that's the alpha/beta, release version could well include further optimization.

Kind regards, Michael
