Anyone catch the leak posted on Reddit earlier?

Featured Replies

You don't necessarily need piloting skills to be a tester, after all they are looking for all kind of bugs in the sim. Ironically an "id**t" flying might strike into more bugs than a professional flying between the normal envelops of the sim.

However, we can have a sane debate whether the "id**t" will be able to detect what he found is a bug in the sim...

I just took another look at that most recent leak and noticed this which I hadn't seen before;

EFB.jpg

You can see it at 4:43 in the video. Given that our leaky friend's piloting skills are next to nothing might it be that he lacks the skill to power up and configure this in the sim?

(With apologies if the EFB has already been spotted and discussed. Oh, and nice flashlight)

LATER;

And looking again - I'm starting to change my mind about this guy.

At 14:30 in the vid he perfectly demonstrates Alpha Floor in the NEO. He doesn't just take the aircraft in to a crazy pitch up attitude but he takes it there, shows you the ext view, with the Airbus Callouts - "STALL STALL". He knows about the Alpha Floor and knows what it means in terms of system modelling.

I wonder if these leakers need to fly badly in order to cover their tracks in the way ASOBO are monitoring Alpha Testers. In other words ASOBO are able to look at how flights were conducted. So if you're going to leak anything - fly like you don't know how to or just really badly. After all everyone who applied to be an Alpha knows how to fly pretty well - right?

Or am I over thinking it???

I’m sure Asobo keeps a log and telemetry of all the flights during the alpha, so if they really wanted to find these leakers and are willing to invest the time, they would sure be able to find them.

Not if the leakers had flown the flights Offline and found the part of the code recording the data and deleted it so that the next time they flew Online it wasn't sent to ASOBO.

That having been said - they'd be no reason to fly badly. Unless by doing so they just want to obfuscate their style.

I don't know - just thinking out loud and guessing. None of it's facts.

Mate, I gotta ask....your name tickles me for some reason 😄 What's the story with it? Do you just really like cheese, do you make cheese or are you a mouse or something?

Hey man, good question.

I love flying and I love cheese.

The only cheese I don't like is the Swiss one - when the holes line up.  😄

😄 Well, that's good enough for me. Does what it says on the tin.

Thanks for making me smile today.

I would ask why you're called Jazz? - for me Jazz means Miles Davies and The Wayne.

Nice dragon - couple of days ago I flew a PA-28 from Haverfordwest down past Swansea Bay to Southampton. Weather was truly appalling - sick bags all the way.

Wales looked lovely though.

Fair question I suppose. Truth is I don't remember anymore. It was a nickname given to me many years ago and it just sort of stuck in certain circles and consequently, I have used it in some form or another as my online name. That's really all there is to it. I wish it was more interesting.

Sounds like it would have been a nice flight if not for the weather. I was lucky enough to potter about on similar routes in a similar plane when I was young. A Piper Warrior that belonged to my fathers boss. I really miss those days. They were grand adventures for a boy of the age I was. We used to fly out of Cardiff.

Where do you stand on Roquefort? It's my favourite and it has the added bonus of making everyone around me run away so I get to eat it all.

Strange indeed - Warrior 2 was the chosen weapon I was flying! and the aircraft I learned to fly in. Appallingly tired old Flight School nag but one's affections have no common sense.

Roquefort - yep, it's a strong'un. Approach with caution. And use sparingly. Less is more with that noble fromage. I use it when I want to pep up a sauce such as a Dijon (yes, I know, I'm weird) or perhaps to inject some warmth in to a winter sauce for chicken or pork.

But it's like firewalling the Warrior - use it at your own risk - you really don't know what's going to happen/ break.

Were you flying from Haverfordwest to Southampton for a purpose or just to feel free for a while?

Isn't that the truth 🙂

I just like it on a Hovis digestive biscuit. There is something about the salty, spicy sourness of it that marries wonderfully with the sweetness of the biscuit and I am not one for eating my cheese with biscuits. It must be the Hovis ones though 😉

We were flying within the law because technically we were doing a "Maintenance Flight" - which meant just getting the aircraft back to her home;

However, for Wales that's a grey area and I don't want or need to go in to too much detail but basically we were recovering the aircraft back to an airfield on the south coast - "For Maintenance". Because she needed it. And that's logged.

Back to more important things; I know exactly what you mean about Hovis Digestives.

Say no more. A good Stilton on Hovis is my definition of perfection - especially when accompanied by a good glass of Port - I developed a taste for cheese on a Hovis biscuit some time ago. All these Artisan Cheese Biscuits ( Waitrose Vegan seeds and quania and whatnot crackers) are a load of rubbish - the cheese is the star of the show - not the vehicle.

I wasn't questioning whether you should or should not of been buddy. I was merely curious (nosey) as to why you fly. Whether it a profession or hobby. That was all 🙂

Yes, Stilton on Hovis has a similar effect and that's for sure and as for Port......Don't get me going. Great stuff. I was in Portugal for my 30th birthday once and I had a very dear friend that I wanted to get a nice bottle for and I did, a very nice bottle. Do you know that bug*er never even saved me a tiny glass to try? Glugged the lot he did. Charming, ehh? 🤣

Poor sod died a few years later. He and I would sit in his garden eating cheese, olives and drinking wine until the small hours a couple times a month. I miss him rather a lot, I must say.

Cheese the star of the show, indeed. And the wine of course 😉 Don't forget the wine, old bean.

I'm reminded of what my dear old Godmother always used to opine on such occasions;

"Enough of everything and too much of nothing."

The leaked videos have the airport code plastered onto them for some reason so the person recording it isn't that worried about Asobo tracking them down.
