New FS 2020 vs. X-Plane 11 Airports Comparison

Looking forward to not having to add any frame rate killing detailed addon airport scenery.

Default scenery performance is king. P3D for example- 260-300 FPS+ stock- Addon big detailed airport- 35-60fps.

Addon aircraft is another matter but luckily we won't have to couple the two.

That's been the case as long as I remember.  People will add all HD scenery, textures, clouds, static aircraft all over, with external weather apps, keep going,  full on sliders with multimonitors, then blame the SIM saying it Suucks. Lol. DUH

That's your prerogative, but you will get rusty at flying by the time the new MS flight simulator comes out, and that does not make much since to me.

No I won't. I've been flying sims since MS first released its product decades ago on my C-64.Thinking you need to grip the stick every week doesn't make sense to me. Maybe you just need to take a break and get some perspective.

Could have fooled me. Sounded preachy. But maybe I took it wrong.

Well, cause they compare xplane 11 to FSX. which is fair.

Hmm.  I think a more apt (fair?) comparison would be 64-bit P3D to XPlane11.

FSX should be more fairly compared to ...I don't know, Xplane9 or 10 or something from that era.

As someone who switched to X-Plane 11 from P3Dv,

out of curiousity, what version of P3D did you come from?

Version 4 dot something

I can't imagine how a comparison of any sim can be compared to a yet to be released and still in Alpha.

I thought initially to see what developed here but this is nuts.

Thank you.
