Scenic flights in MSFS

Featured Replies

Personally I love flying around New Zealand as it’s stunning and I’ve spent a fair bit of time there in real life so know it well. I really enjoy the western side of the states too but I think everywhere is going to be so much more enjoyable because of the whole different level of accuracy and visuals. It will take me a while but I’m planning on doing London to Sydney by GA when the sim is released. That will be fun.

scenic to me include areas all along the Appalachians

A nice flight between two carrier-like airports: Harlan County I35 that I remade to Mountain Air Airport 2NCO, an Orbx freeware, over the Tennessee river valley with its strange parallel ridges.

Simming since 1981 -  [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

Another one, stunning AND historical  : humping your way from Lashio (India) to Putao (Myanmar) to Kunming (China) over the Himalayas. Of course, you'd need a DC3 😇

There are two birds that Asobo or a good 3PD should bring back from ACOF to fly this route : the Vimy and the Comet

But, but, those are British aircraft...!! Surely you would prefer anything more, well, French?
Demand the developers include the Bréguet ('Deux-Ponts') 763 or the Blériot 165 or you will riot 😀
OK, OK, you can ask for a Caravelle instead!

Just Flight might be interested in making a DH.88 Comet at some point.

The Comet and Wimy are famous to have done the route from UK to Australia and their rendition in ACOF weren't that bad. I loved the Comet.

Besides that, I am an Anglophile French, Entente Cordiale et tout ça   ! Now, I wouldn't say no to a good French aircraft as those of course ! For the record, my first flight ever was on a AF Caravelle to spend a summer month in a Croydon family when I was a teen !

A month in Croydon? Lucky you - que de bonheur ! 😉

My first scenic flights are going to be:
KLGB - KGCN, over L.A., via Rainbow Canyon, onto KLAS and a loop around the Grand Canyon.
NZAA - NZQN, covering nearly all of New Zealand.

EGHE (Scilly Isles) - EGET (Shetland Islands) to cover a lot of the best bits of Great Britain.

You have to hum the Indiana Jones theme while flying it....

They were very nice old folks having French kids in the summer to make a little money. Great rasperry pies. Then after, I got more serious about learning English. I regularly bought Mad magazine.

Nice flights.
