February 11, 20179 yr Hi, Every time I make a tweak in my config, noting happens in the game. I am saving the config file, and I am editing it correctly. What is happening? With my LOD radius set to 8.5, here is what the sim looks like: http://imgur.com/kWUHQvl
February 11, 20179 yr Administrators Just curious....Are you expecting your "camera" to have an infinite range of focus? I don't think I have ever seen a screenshot where things out in the distance were in perfect focus like the aircraft and scenery underneath. No, I just want textures in the distance to load in sooner, but my config file is basically broken.

Are you absolutely sure you edited the FSX.cfg file and not the FSX.cfg.txt file? And is this the location of your FSX.cfg? For FSX steam edition: C\ProgramFiles(x86)\steam\steamapps\common\FSX. If it was placed in default location. Charlie Aron AVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-Registrar Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system. February 12, 20179 yr LOD=8.5 is silly... stay away from that.. Just asking for VAS trouble and OOM errors. 5.5 is OK, you may be able to live with 4.5 too. What you are trying to do cannot be accomplished.. FSX is what it is. Bert
