June 13, 20169 yr Has anyone ever noticed that the default 747-400s in FSX have only one sound level? (Loud). Are there any adjustments or add on sound files that are more realistic? Setting all of the sound sliders in FSX to zero does no good when flying the 747. Terry
June 13, 20169 yr Administrators Are we talking engine sounds inside the cockpit? Have you noticed that the default 747-400 aliases the 737-800 sound folder? Check the library for 747 sounds and you may find what you are looking for. June 13, 20169 yr Author Thanks for the heads up on the 737-800 sounds. Funny thing though, the 747 in FSX does not sound anything like the 737 it is suppose to be imitating.. I wonder why and how that overly loud base/background cockpit and exterior noise can be changed. Terry

June 14, 20169 yr Author Thanks for the engine link. Unfortunately, I was not able to log into the site to down load it. Terry
June 14, 20169 yr Administrators Try this site, since it is not available in the AVSIM Library. It says for FS2004 but will do fine in FSX. Membership at the other site is free just like it is here! https://flyawaysimulation.com/downloads/files/2682/fs2004-general-electric-cf6-80c2b5f-sound/ Charlie Aron AVSIM Board of Directors-ADMIN/Moderator-Registrar Awaiting the new Microsoft Flight Sim and the purchase of a new system.
