September 10, 201411 yr I think you could give Gauges Recovery a try anyway, the worst thing that could possibly happen is that it doesn't help with your issue.#But since that file helps to recover missing/corrupt default effect texture files, it is very likely able to help you resolve your issue. September 11, 201411 yr Author Downloaded and started to use the program when I discovered it wants you to revert back DX 9 from DX 10. Not happening, I use Steve's fixer and it is not that simple to revert. Will have try something else. I actually am considering disabling rain effects since the are awful in FSX anyway. Ric Elmore
September 11, 201411 yr Author Fixed it! It was the "Rain Brightness" slider in Steve's "DX10 Fixer" was set to "50%", moved it to 100% and all is better. Ric Elmore
