I spent a couple of hours yesterday taking my PC apart to clean all the dust out... found more than a few of my parrot's feathers inside.

 

So let that be a word of warning. Feathers. Bad for plugholes. And computers.

 

I'll stop sticking them in the fan vent then!

Twiglet's IP also connects to a user known as "T1492". There were multiple IP's from which all three accounts crossed.

 

Tom, are you saying "T1492" (declared name is Shomei Yokouchi) and "Dave Romford" are one and the same?

 

The reason I ask is because in this thread here http://forum.avsim.net/topic/414512-milviz-732-released/page-31 Shomei responds to Daves comment with a PM sent and a "like".

Wow he seemed like such a nice genuine guy. I had many a nice conversation with him!

I always find it so hard to figure out when people personally attack Tom and the rest of the volunteers, I just can't comprehend it. Sure there's a-holes everywhere but come on....or is this just my naive Canadian coning out lol

I think there might be more to this as you can see when viewing that thread.

 

Could there have been a mistake made here? Did anyone approach Dave to discuss it?

Yup, one and the same with Q-Flyer, Twiglet, and now 23SASR who opened an account an hour ago and was immediately detected with the same / overlapping IP with T1942. Banned immediately.

I was shocked too, but I'm pretty sure he regretted his past actions and wished for a new beginning on AVSIM. He didn't cause any harm with his most recent account (fun fact, it was banned 1 year, 1 month and 1 day after it was created), he was a nice guy, and he even made a donation. That shows he wasn't intending to harm AVSIM in any way.

 

So from my part, I won't feel angry towards him, but I can totally see why Tom would be angry (also since multiple accounts are not allowed). And also, credits to Tom for returning the donation.

You had to be on the receiving end of what we went through to appreciate the poetic justice of this.

 

 

Having had my share of those "being on the receiving end" experiences... I can appreciate this... enough for me to rate the topic "5-Stars".
