Yep, you have it right.  :good:

Open with DXTBMP, send to editor (Paint.net or other), save from editor as 24 bit bmp, convert to DXT with Imagetool.

Believe me Richard, I am well aware what a big job it can become  :shok:

Exactly, there are all these steps you need to go through that makes me wish there was a way to script it somehow like I mentioned before but since there are several different tools you need to use and also the steps can be a bit different each time (most of the times you need to resize the night texture but not always for example) this makes it very hard to script in a good way.

So...guess you just have to bite into the sour apple. However I'm very happy there at least is a way to fix it and I'm very grateful you were kind and showed me how it's done!

Thanks, then I guess I'll try replacing the prop texture with one from a FSX SP2 model because I did find some of those instructions you mention but I wasn't able to come up with a good result.

Just tried using the prop texture from the default FSX Beech King Air 350 and although the result was not as good as seen on the original Beech King Air 350 at least it was a major improvement over the default AT72 prop texture seen in the screenshot above.

When I tried this I simply copied the prop texture over from the Beech King Air 350 texture folder to the AT72 folder and renamed it to match the original file name and I also changed the extension from dds to bmp to match the original extension.

Hey guys;

 Just wondering the progress of this amazing work. It seems the last post was done in end of March, 2014.

 Thanks for you support.

Has anything changed over the last 2 years to make this process simple?
