July 7, 201411 yr For current users of EFASS - Should the parent company happen to go out of business, would the product continue to be functional or is it dependant on their servers for proper use? I'm a little hesitant to invest in such a relative newcomer if the product is very dependant on the "mother ship", if you will... -Greg
July 7, 201411 yr I think not but it's certainly a question worth asking on their forum. July 7, 201411 yr Is this worthwhile, if nothing else, as an electronic flight-assistant, of sorts...? I currently have PFPX which I use for my flight planning, but wouldn't mind a 'swiss army knife' type of utility to make taxiing, monitoring Vatsim controllers, and checking charts and the like a bit easier. I have to jump from vatspy, to FSCommander, to my Chrome browser for my AirNav charts, all of which is a bit of a pain. If EFASS could consolidate all of that, and I could continue to allow PFPX to handle my flight planning, that'd be ideal. Could anyone speak to if this addon would serve that/those purpose(s)? https://www.youtube.com/user/vertighoFS http://www.twitch.tv/vertigho/profile

However at present I would not encourage anybody to buy this product due to the various bugs that exist. I would say no. but try the demo, it's free for 14 days. EFASS downloads all sorts of data when it starts up and you also need to log in which would be authenticated by their servers. So if they did decide to close shop, I suspect the product would be completely disabled. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
August 4, 201411 yr Well thanks for the heads up on this - will purchase it - I exported CS777 and AirbusX - loaded them up in the aircraft setup up my fmc's and they work perfectly - so easy to use - I like easy - well done - Well checked out moving map it indeed works your aircraft is a red airplane image as you are flying along it does update and you can use satellite imagery for a better experience - I dont see myself using it much but nice to have FYI it can still be free I read in the forum that after 14 days it will run as usual but it takes 1 to 3 minutes to run - thats the difference from a paid version Rich Sennett
August 5, 201411 yr Looks like support has disappeared again. I've given up. I want a refund. I can't plugin valid routes, and the routes it gives me are wrong most of the time. The fuel calcs don't work right and the weather planning seems to only work in Europe. Lots of features, but very little that works right. Jim Shield Cybersecurity Specialist
August 18, 201411 yr So, how does this compare to Aivlasoft EFB? Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. A great landing is when you can reuse it." i9 64GB RAM, GTX-5090
August 18, 201411 yr I have dumped it at first glance looked nice but without manual editing capabilities its a no go for me - Idealflight works great I am sticking with that - not to mention no support on EFASS forums - I have a question about Idealflight I get almost an immediate response - great stuff So, how does this compare to Aivlasoft EFB? Hi Greg dont buy EFB as I will sell you mine at a lower cost if interested Rich Sennett

August 18, 201411 yr What's up with you more like? Forget it Richard in future I won't try and watch your back, consider yourself on my ignore list. Ignore list - no thanks Andy I respect what you have offered by helping people including me and appreciate it - so am I wrong here - just asking - the reply seems to say I could sell it - again no biggie one way or the other - still friends I hope Rich Sennett
August 18, 201411 yr To be honest Richard I didn't read as far as section 4, it seems hypocritical to me to say in one part that it's not transferable and then later say that it is. If that's what Urs has told you in an email then it doesn't matter what it says in the agreement, you have at it. After FSUIPC EFB is my most prized FS-Addon, I use it on more or less every IFR flight and most VFR flights, its an indispensable tool for me. Cheers, Andy.

Hi Andy - I like the software just not exactly what I thought it would be in flight planning aspect but it really shines as an EFB and I did not know the difference up till now - thank you Rich Sennett
