October 16, 201312 yr Or the RNAV. I routinely flew that with the 737 when weather was bad. Very nice approach. --Peter Fabian
October 16, 201312 yr Well, PMDG does that every time to me, at an early stage of my FS on going experience, the first serious plane I bought was B747 I enjoyed it a lot and learned a lot from it, however, I decided later on to get the MD-11 after long hesitation (not being familiar with the plane)....... And wow it blown my brain away, I am loving it tell this very moment, even at my VA I became a captain at the MD-11 program........Then came the NGX, I was -as you all must did- amazed with it, specially with FS2Crew installed, it was to me as real as it gets to real airplane, I spend well 45 minutes preparing for a flight, I think 60-70% of all flights I did since August 2011 was flying NGX ....Then about 6 month back, although I am not into propeller planes much I got the BAe JS4100 and trust me guys this is probably the best FS experience I had on the SIM, to me it's as good as it gets.......so sophisticated, realistic, many options and procedures that cant be seen anymore......finally T7 came along, for the first few days I said to myself OMG this plane looks simpler than NGX, I even can fly it without reading too much!!! it was a little funny start, later I went into depth reading manuals and using resources to came to a conclusion again PMDG did it T7 feels the best at it's class no doubt about that and probably the best of them all......You can say the same about NGX, JS4100 without hesitation..... you cant just compare between them and get to a conclusion that NGX is better or T7....every model just feels right and beautiful....... With T7 probably at the lead. I m hoping that B747 will be developed to the same standards and complexity of T7 or better ? I am only sad about the MD-11 because I think all what it takes to develop is some texture work that goes with new computers, then it will be a great addition to the ultimate fleet of PMDG .....please excuse my English. Alaa A. RiadJust love to fly............... W11 64-bit, MSFS2020, Intel Core i7-8700 CPU @ 3.20 Ghz 6 Cores, 2 TR HD, 16.0 GB DDR4 RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6 MB GDDR5
October 19, 201312 yr And here I am still flying the Md-11... Yeah I tried the NGX, I love it and im soon gonna install it again, but I had some issues with the MD11 not working when the NGX was installed.. Im too excited about the 777, but I gotta fly some NGX before that time or else I`ll never get to fly any of them too much Anyone else miss the old days when add-ons where rare and far apart? Was so much easier for both me and my friend the credit card.. Just makes me think of those wonderful gear retraction animation (or the lack of it) in FS5.. hehe.. :-) Yngve GiljebrekkeENZV NSB
October 19, 201312 yr The NGX just suits my style of flying better. Relatively short stage lengths into smaller airports. I'll load up the T7 on a long haul flight before I go to bed and finish the flight in the morning. I only fly published air routes using the correct airline, aircraft, flight number etc. It just adds to the realism for me. I'm not sure if this is still the case but UAL used the T7 on the KDEN to KORD run. Its a fairly short flight if wanting to fly the T7 and not spend many hours in cruise while still maintaining some operational realism. I've been flying around the orient in my China Southern T7 freighter variant lately. Regards
October 20, 201312 yr I don't miss the 737 at all. Mostly because I still fly it heaps In fact I have already got a few "Vatsim Commitments" to fly: The A2A Cessna C172 tonight from YSCB Canberra to YSCN Camden. The PMDG 737NGX (737-800) on the "Milk Run" YMML Melbourne to YSSY Sydney Tomorrow night The PMDG 777 (777-200LR) on Tuesday Night/Wednesday morning from RJTT Tokyo Haneda, to OMDB Dubai After that I'm not sure. I'd also like to try a flight to Coober Pedy with the new scenery released recently on OZx... might do that in the Realair Beechcraft Duke. (or maybe in the JS41 pretending to be a Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner or Saab 340). Oddly the last 3 flight's I'v done on the Q400 have ended up with freeze-white screen-circle of death sim crashes, so I'd like to test that out a bit to see what's up with it, so maybe some quick daytime YSSY - YSTW or YSSY - YSCB flights to tackle that. And last but not least, there's only 2 weeks to go till WorldFlight, where I will be flying in a fixed-base 737 sim for a week. http://www.worldflightgroup.com/ Trent Hopkinson, 2015 Crewmember of www.mangrove.com.au WorldFlight sim Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/musicalaviator
October 24, 201312 yr I've promised myself that after I finish my current 777 flight, I will fire up the NGX and do a few runs for Flydubai. I miss that low cockpit. CPL/MEIR
