February 3, 201115 yr Wow, I am really surprised at all of this. In my experience (not a ton, but bear with me) people in the aviation/flight sim community are almost all polite, friendly, respectable people (at least online.) This Tishma dude needs to realize that not everyone out there is going to love his product, and that he needs to come up with a refund system (if he can create a complex sim addon, he can think of a refund system). I also agree with w6kd. Ariane, I'm sure, is not a big company at all, they couldn't do much harm. And the emails all seem to be empty threats. To make sure the record is "correct", Peter Tishma is rumored to have sold Papa Tango. Ostensibly, Papa Tango was taken over by another individual and renamed "Ariane". I encourage you to do a search for Papa Tango, Peter Tishma, and Ariane here in the forums, and from the front page of AVSIM.

February 3, 201115 yr Moderator Hey Tom!The quote has been linked to Confucius, but never really proven. About all anyone can agree on is that it's a Chinese origination. It has also been mis-attributed to Sun Tzu's "Art of War," but nothing remotely similar to such an expression may be found there. It's an ancient Chinese expression, so it can be translated any number of ways, but the one I've most frequently read has been "Live long enough to see your enemies floating down the river".With regards to your latest email reply, I've long ago concluded that there are many instances where a customer's correspondence apparently hasn't been read at all. I often receive replies from various company's "support representatives" that are completely non-sequitur. Fr. February 4, 201115 yr Hamoody...That is why I was so stunned. Their response was so unbelievable, I had to share my experience and vent.Trust me... if this company thinks that threatening people is the way to win business... they will be sorely disappointed with the long term success of the company. Some time back another company drew the ire of a bunch of customers when they didn't deliver a working product on-time after soliciting pre-orders. In response to the hue and cry, this developer posted to its forum in response "...we are ex-Russian military and we know how to deal with traitors." Speznaz customer service...the memory still makes me laugh when I think about it.I've always had three pieces of advice w/r/t Ariane and their products:1. Caveat Emptor2. There's one born every minute3.
