@ Gatesession: I'm not sure whether I fully understand the question. I'm not much of a 'nightflyer' in the first place and haven't done any nightflying with the REX water textures. If you refer to Real Environment Pro water: Cannot remember to have seen that, but then I rarely fly with a clear sky....Regards,Ren

I think your problem is in that "230 miles" visibility. With that visibility, you can see Liverpul from London. Which afcourse is impossible. You should lower that one on some more "natural" values like 64km in FS, and 59 or even better on 30 in Active Sky. Than your water problem is gone forever.

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

Well ... I don't think so... since if you shrink it the transition becomes closer to you.And I don't really think it depends on the visibility range. It something FS9.1 read ... maybe from the world.bgl file. I mean outside the generated by REX textures the FS9.1 reads another file which gives you this light blue. I just need someone maybe to tryu flying at hi

Ok, lets back on topic. Did someone noticed that sky colors, for daytime, isn't much same color as represented on screenshoot at REX menu? For example, supercell thunderstorm, is more like white/blue than white/dark gray, and that theme with name, cant' remember now exactly, but its written something like "if you see this sky color, head for the basement". It's supposed to be dark gray, but it is not, it is more some blue or something?

Hello the transition (base) textures take over outside of the terrain detail rings set in the FS9.CFGTERRAIN_EXTENDED_TEXTURES=1TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS=4TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS=4TERRAIN_EXTENDED_LEVELS=4This has nothing to do with visibility settings, set your visibility to a reasonable level and you will not notice the base textures
Reasonable level ... meaning ?Thanks for the tip.

Hello I mean a reasonable (real world) level, 200+ miles is not reasonable in normal circumstancesSet your visibility to 50 miles and see how you get on

I've noticed some of this with a few of their sky textures. I gave up and went back to my old Activesky 6.5 sky textures option. AS 6.5's sky textures works the best with things like haze anyway...

Try reducing the plankton level in the water textures. That seems to make it more gray.

But that's for the water effect, not for sky, right?

Well i'm not goin to touch this anymore.333kp.jpgMaybe clouds only, from time to time.Sky: Blue Dawn, Touch of Smog ( only one that look like real sky ), DrearyWater: After moving those sliders all night, i think i'm found right color.Just wondering, can we upload somehow those saved themes? I mean not files, just save file from the setup.

I'm surprised this thread hasn't taken off. There's some good info that could be shared by those like myself that's found a sweet spot with this add-on.
After visiting REX's forum and seeing all the acknowledged problems there are..........it doesn't appear that now is a good time for determining the "best" settings of anything since so many things are still fouled up.gwillmot

Hello Yes looks like you nailed it, that water is much better for northern europe

Guys I've been flying around with the 'Touch of Smog' sky texture and I must admit so far it's the best option. Although I find is a little too smoggy on the horizon it beats out the other options. Next I think I'm going to try another option that was posted here and that's 'Polluted City Air' (that really sounds worse than 'Touch of Smog', oh well) and see how that works out.
