747 Immersion Support

I have P3Dv4.5. When I load either the PMDG 747 or the PMDG 777, I get a screen from VFX saying: "Disconnected, Please Load Sim with supported aircraft". The VFX effect loads intermittently. Sometimes all on the 777, other times just the contrails on the 747. I have uninstalled and re-installed the VFX Central exe. and selected all applicble P3Dv4 aircraft. And.. when the VFX does load to either the 777 or 747, the load manager does not allow me to green point check the various effects. The only effect that is checked on is the Engine Contrails. I have submitted 2 Tech Supports tickets via the Old Prop website and have gotten NO response. Any suggestio…

Hey guys. I reinstalled my sim a few days ago and then I reinstalled my immersion package. Then it all stopped working. The immersion manager is connecting to the aircraft and I also can see a green dot next to the effect but I just can't see it in the sim and also the preview are not working. I tried reinstalling the immersion package. Starting it as an administrator and putting the special effects to high in P3D settings. If you guys have any ideas on how to fix it please post a comment. Unfortunately, I've been quite disappointed with quality of 747 Immersion after having 737 and 777. Everything looks like recycled default puffy effects instead of smooth, realistic ones on other planes.... Why, devs?

Hey guys, recently purchased 747 immersion and it works great except for a few little issues. When looking outside i get around 80-90% GPU usage when looking towards the contrails (the slider is all the way towards performance.) Looking anywhere else the GPU usage drops to around 50%. Also, when you get the rain drops off the fuselage, once the rain stops the drops off the fuselage are still there. Thanks for your help

What are the chances of getting the 747 Immersion without the manager. Seems like the manager is causing all kinds of issues. Doing a long haul flight with a friend online and his sim just crashed. His event viewer reported the Immersion Manager.exe and NTDLL error. I turn mine off now and I suggest this to many others who have experienced the crashes. I wish it was simple like the 737, 777 immersion. Can we also have it so it's not running when were in other planes besides the 747.

Hi, Should i suspect contrails at this FL with the 747-8?? i dont have anything but small burst from the engines. Everything seems to work as least for the software . Thanks Michael Moe

Just fired up my sim to be greeted by an update by the 747 Immersion Manager. Now when I check my event viewer or AppCrash Viewer I am greeted by listed error message. Before the update I had no recorded errors and I check after each flight to ensure my sim is running great. I hate the 747 IM and wish the 747 used the same process as the 737 and 777. Talking to a few others on Discord, two users Immersion doesn't work now and another user is seeing the same error message as I do. Hi! PMDG 747 Immersion maybe causes CTD. I am using Win10 P3D 4.3. Virus program in off mode. Has ChasePlane and PrecipitFX installed. CTD happens during Taxi, T / O and Approache. I use your recommended settings for the Immersion 747. My computer and all software are updated. CTD happens at different airports and under different weather conditions. I have recently taken the PMDG 747 QOTS II for a spin and noted that, in flight, the outboard engines have engine intake condensation effects which are not aligned with the compressor fans. The outboard effects seem to apply to an unflexed wing as if e.g. on the ground. This could be due to wing flex, but surely the condensation effects would attempt to follow movement of the outboard wing to align themselves to the engine intakes? Should these condensation effects follow the wing flexing and could it be that my settings are incorrect?

Hi Keven, I was updating my PMDG 747-8 today, and before I did that I uninstalled 747 Immersion and got this error: https://drive.google.com/oc?id=1DosQECSllGOUDXx0BstEeWegAQ-lWh9j I do NOT install ImmersionManager in the default path, I use "D:\OldProp\Immersion Manager". Made the purchase, with everyone off parked at the gate did some test of effects thought VFX central. Planned the flight, went for pushback. Turned things, on, started moving. None of the effects work with 747. As you can tell by the screenshots, its raining and im flying through fog. Tried: Disabling and enabling effects. Disabling and enabling detailed precipitation Special effects are all maxed out. Note: Eventhought I had precipitFX installed. It never worked with 747, I assumed that it was all about immersion packages (forcing us to buy) I was wrong.

Hi all, This may seem an odd question. If I have cloud motion effect enabled in AS for P3D V4, does this have an affect on the landing light immersion when flying through clouds (from the cockpit view). I vaguely remember reading somewhere that you can't have them both enabled at the same time, I could just be wrong however. I guess the question is also valid for the 737 immersion. The 747 Immersion Manager Turns off by it self after T/O. Then I start the manger manual and it works perfect but it turns off by it self about 10 NM later. I use P3D v4.3, win 10 Pro, HIFI AS for P3D, Rex Sky Force 3D, ChasePlane, PrecipitFX, PTA, ORBX Global, ORBX EU in conjunction with PMDG B747-8. All software are up to date. I do not want to fly without 747 Immersion as it is a great addon.

Hi, Currently flying over the Atlantic and I have contrails showing for engines 1,2 and 4, but not for engine 3. Not sure if that is a real scenario that could happen but seems unlikely to me. Any thoughts as to why that would/could happen? Using the 747-8i. Thanks, Chris Lezama

I like this product, too bad water droplets not working on glass in VC. Anyway more pressing issue are black discs outer ring in engines 3 & 4 where water vapor should be. 1 & 2 look OK to me.

How and when do I open the IM to have access to the 747 options?

Purchased both the B747 and B717, activated both products with their respective keys within my account. After installing into P3D V4 via the FSFX Manger, I click on the 717 or 747 tab to modify my different effect and the options are not shown. I have almost all other oldprop products installed and they are working just fine.

So I was descending below 12k and noticed I still had contrails...I wrote it off as environmental stuff that idk about. Now...on final approach and on landing there could be one of three things going on here..forgot the chemtrail switch, engines are on fire, or immersion is having a laugh.. Ok, I fiddled around the last days to find a solution for the following error, despite the 747 is loaded: In my case, I use simStarter to manage my liveries (and to disable the PMDG house livery). And I'm sure, some other users add and modify their liveries also in one or the other way. In general, there's nothing wrong with simStarter, but it changes the original [fltsim.1] to [FLTSIM.1] - so it is all about case sensitivity! Open your aircraft.cfg(s) and change it back to lower cases: the Immersion Manager will recognize your 747 now! I hope it is not a big task for OldProp to learn the IM to be a bit more tole…

Hello! The description on the product page says only for "PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies II" and no other airplane. Does this mean it is not working with the -8i and -8f addon from PMDG? Thanks!

Hi! I have just purchased immersion of 747 and was testing it. I loaded a PMDG 747-8i and open the Immersion manager and then tested it with "Preview". However, the Landing light effect of Volumetric clouds does not work. I pressed "Preview" but the "Status indicator" didn't become blue nor can I see any effect in the Sim. Others work perfectly except this one. Is it normal or I have missed something? I have attached a picture showing that I have pressed "Preview" button (so it became "stop") but the Indicator was still grey.
