C421 C GOLDEN EAGLE FSX | P3D

OK, these might be some stupid question more, but I would like to know in order to operate correctly. Do you extend flaps for t/o in any conditions? How much flaps do you use during the approach and landing?

I have been considering the C421 for a few weeks now but had a couple of final questions. It is available through the Carenado website on sale....is this the same aircraft? Are there any Australian Repaints for C421 out there, I couldn't find any in the avsim library? Finally I intend to also purchase the F1GTN complete navigational package, is it easy to install into the C421 and have you ever seen this program on sale as it is quite expensive for a guage?

The Cessna 600 series standard a/p on Alabeo's C421 sometimes freezes in pitch mode - getting NONE on trying to climb or descend. When this happens, I have to switch the avionics master off and on to get the a/p to leave its whatever level. This of course loses GTN750 inputs as ell which have to be renewed. Anyone experienced this - anyone with a cfg or whatever fix ??

Has anyone else had this problem? C421 in VR: All pop-up windows work in VR except the GPS (shift+1) That one only works on the monitor. No amount of moving the key bindings work i.e. swapping the GPS to shift+2. An odd one. I have opened a ticket but in the meantime...anyone?

When flying at night all panel lights work except the transponder. It's numbers remain unlit. Any ideas? Jack

I'm just an old novice so please be gentle. Just purchased the Alabeo C421 Golden Eagle and have been enjoying getting use to it. Does the GNS530 have the ability to use the direct-to option to join a waypoint in an already loaded flight plan without removing the rest of the original flight plan or is this option not possible with this GPS? I had flown a couple waypoints in a loaded flight plan and landed at an airport north of the next waypoint in the flight plan. I continued the next day from the landed airport ( loaded the same flight plan ) and I wanted to continue to the next waypoint in the flight plan. I used the direct-to to the next waypoint in the flig…

Hi, I just picked up this plane from Carenado(Alabeo) and trying to find out if the Radar that sits beside the AP Panel is actually functional, I have not been able to make it work??? Otherwise it is a nice a/c. Thanks.

It was just brought to my attention that selecting the GTN750 option for this airplane results in the GTN NAV radio and the BK NAV radio being mirror images of one another.. This is because Alabeo incorrectly sets the GTN NAV radio to NAV2.. To fix this, open the F1GTN.ini file and in the GTN750.1 section, set Radios=0 (instead of =1)

Has anyone else noticed this? Hovering over either L or R fuel supply needle, the pop-up label is incorrect, i.e., the label doesn't reflect the quantity the needle is pointing to.

Hey, Anyone who use to fly with the alabeo c421 know why everytime I hit the autopilot BC this one is turning on and directly off to activate the NAV ? Pretty annoying Thank you 🙂

Flies like a house brick in P3D v4.5 (only with considerably less finesse) - never used to in earlier versions. Something's broken. Anyone else?

Hi all, I've just seen that I don't have any lights on this aircraft, the only one I have is taxi and panel, If I check outside the plane I can see light spot on the wings but even when I switch on the lights it stays off Any idea ? Thanks

First observations.. - This can be a really nice airplane, it handles well and looks great! - As before, the Airplane= in the F1GTN.ini file is set incorrectly, should be =4. - The pitch wheel is animated backwards.. - Also, the brakes lock up when applied - The autopilot does not appear to have an FD mode.. that does not seem right.. The AP and FD come on/off together with the Z key, but I cannot engage FD by itself..

I tried an engine failure yesterday and could only pull the prop back to the low pitch range, not further into the feather range. Visually the props did seem a bit feathered. Is this something that is not modelled in the C421 or am I missing something. Thanks Dave

Question, I bought the ArezOne sound set for this aircraft and would like to use their Custom sounds (mainly internal) with Alabeo other sounds (mainly engine). But the sound.cfg doesn't seem to have any of those files listed. So how do they get played. The ArezOne custom sounds are placed in the default P3D directory in the sound folder under Alabeo but nowhere can I find a sound.cfg that would play them. How do sound files not listed in the aircrafts sound folder get played? Thanks - Martin

Hi- I'm going through the manual startup routine. Underneath the pilot's right arm rest, I see the right engine fuel selector. I can start that engine just fine. The left engine is not cooperating. Is there a fuel selector for the left engine? I see the left main/right main/ right engine off on the selector on the floor, but don't see an equivalent selector for the left engine.

Hi all- Just purchased this a few days ago. Two questions so far.. 1. How do you set the start up state and have it stick, that is, if I want ready to taxi loaded verytime I fly, how do I save thta? It always loads with the engines spinning down where I then hit Shift + 5, click ready to taxi and the start provess begins. 2. How do you slow this thing down on decent? Bring the throttle lever back down from a certain point and the warning beep starts. Thanks, Mark

All that space to the right of the radios! Wish I could add a GNS530/430 stack in there. Am I right that this is not possible because that space in the VC model is not "active" for placing gauges? Any way around that? Am really enjoying this aircraft though posting on this board seems to have gone a bit quiet . . Cheers!

Does anyone think its stance on the ground doesn't look quite right? Most 400 series Cessna's I have seen IRL and in photos tend to sit a bit on their haunches with the nose up and tail down a bit. The Alabeo model on the other hand looks a bit too tall and upright to my eyes. Can this perhaps be adjusted by tweaking the contact points?
