F50 FSX | P3D

Hi, Carenado just release their Fokker 50. The Fokker 50 is one of my all time favorites (together with the Fokker 70 and MD80) The textures not surprisingly look great, but it is Carenado... Before I fork out $45, I would like to know the quality of the flight model and system modelling. Any early adapters, thrill seekers?

I have a CH throttle Quad when taxing i find it difficult to keep the speed under control.When i move the control forward it takes up speed very quickly not gradually can this be remedied..................Robin

Hi, just curious for the moment, how did carenado model the flight idle stop. Is there a mechanical stop so we cannot select below FI in flight, then what happens after weight on wheels. How have they managed the fsx limitation. Thankyou evlyn

I can't get the Flight1 GTN 750 to show in the Fokker 50. The clickspot doesn't work (although the tooltip shows), and there's nothing I can find in the documentation or any of the 2D panels. I've tried with it enabled or disabled in the GTN config program. In the former case, the GTN 750 works as a 2D panel (and the FMC flightplan doesn't), but it's still not showing in the VC. Anybody any insights as to how I could get this fixed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi , I love this plane. I hope Carenado will come with update to some issues. The exterior and the interior of the plan are perfect to me What I don't like about the plane is when you open the doors that the inside of the door colour looks so brownish. In real the inside of the doors are white. Is there a possibility to change that and how to do it? Best regards and enjoy flying the F50

If, like me, you use the GTN750 for primary navigation (which works fine, BTW, even if the EADI displays "FMS"..) you can add a little custom gauge to have the F50 start up with the GTN visible in the panel. 1. Add a folder to your panel folder and call it "CustomF50" 2. Hello, I Just purchased the Carenado Fokker F50 (V 1.1). As I usually fly small turboprops (mainly C208), this one seems a bit more complexe, without reaching the complexity of a jet. By the way, I've got an issue, and as usual, no flying manual is provided by Carenado. I noticed after following the engine start procedure (cold&Dark) shown in the video made by Carenado, that all panel instruments turn down after about 15 minutes, whether I'm on the ground or in the air. (the engines still work fine, but the panel stays dark). I suppose I forgot something, like turning on a switch related to the battery, but I can't find the solution to that issue. Mayb…

Hi, It looks like the fuel qty gauge is stuck/inoperative. Regardless of the fuel quantity, it always shows full fuel tanks, 4.12T Can anyone confirm?

Is thre anyone using Ezdok camera settings who wants to share them with me. I have troubles with the camera settings. When I on the ground I can use the hatswitch to look in every direction. Hi, When you turn one engine off during a flight the engine stops, but the prop keeps spinning. It should stop. The vertical torque tape does not go down to zero.May be Carenado can do something about this. Best regards and happy flying the Fokker, leodirk

Hello folks, I was really consider whether to buy F50 or wait for Saab.... But F50 looks really stunning so I just got it today and it's been only an hour AND Still I could not made a take off since FMC is not turning on... When I run FSX and Load F50 lights and other elec's are ON except FMC. So I tried to Press shift 6 and change the craft to take off mode...still it is dark... So I tried to Re-install F50 still it is dark. So I delete fsx.cfg [Trust] lines check the regedit re-run the FSX and clicked bunch of TRUST? YES OK YES OK YES OK, and still it is dark. Purchased the F50. It drags my framerates terribly. My system runs PMDG and TFDi in the 40s and 50 FPS range. With the F-50 I’m getting 2-12 FPS. When I turn on the FMS it slows to nothing. So I thought, perhaps FSX is struggling with the FMC. I looked online and found several offered solutions. I gave the computer permission to do whatever it wanted to the CarenadoNavigraph directory. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it with no Virus Software. I manually installed the Navigraph data. Still it’s not working at all. Mayby some can help. I have intergrated de flight1 GTN750 with the fokker F50 but the autopilot won't track the flightplan. I have tried everything. Also when I puch yhe LNAV button I hear a click but th butoon's light will not pop up/ I'm using version 1.1. In the config add on fot the GTN series I asigned NAV to the autopilot, but after pussing the button in flight mot is happeing. Thanx for your reply's! Remco

Since I haven't seen anyone else ask about this, I'm probably missing something obvious...but is there a way to remove the fixes and such from the nav display? It's feels rather cluttered sometimes, and makes it harder to see what I'm wanting to. I'm not at my gaming computer but I can post a screenshot later if it's not clear what I'm talking about. On an unrelated note, is there any hope that Carenado will make the FMS less uh 'quirky'? I'm perfectly accepting of a simple LNAV only FMS, but basic stuff like direct-to not working are kind of a bummer. And buying the GTN (that costs more than this aircraft does), just for this one aircraft, seems a bit much.

Hi, My nose steering wheel is not doing what it supposed to do. The nose sterring wheel can be moved from left to right and back but the plane is going straight forward. Any suggestions? Best regards and Happy flying,

Anybody find a way to turn on the analogue gauge lights w/o turning on the floodlights? Even the pressurization and CVR gauges on the OH only light up w/ floods on, Seems the only way is with floods on, which isn't that great to me. Looks as if the knob above F-DK FLOOD should be the one, but, has no functionality in my case . . . Joe

Hi Folks! Bought the beautiful F50 a couple of days ago, I'm still puzzled as how to operate it properly though. Did my first flight today, EBAW-EGLC. Everything went well up until I was in the air and turned on the LNAV. I noticed that the aircraft became very unstable, rocking from one side to another trying to maintain the course. The F50 even took a couple of dives, while I set the ASEL and VS at 1000 ft. This "rocking" remained the entire flight, although the aircraft seemed to be more stable once reaching cruise altitude. So has anyone tried the new Caranedo F50 yet? I love high-wing turboprops, so it looks like a fun one for me to try, but I wanted to see if anyone has flown it yet.

Anyone know where the EFIS zoom level knob or adjustment would be?
