PSXseeconTraffic for FSX | P3D | MSFS

This is a freeware support forum for PSXseeconTraffic.  PSXseeconTraffic is an add-on for the Aerowinx PSX and any user aircraft in Prepar3D, FSX and MSFS.  Flying with live traffic gives you an awesome immersion.  You can position your aircraft in the queue for landing or departure at your favourite airport and really see all these familiar airlines and aircraft around you. The traffic information at the TCAS in your aircraft is making the flight experience much more real; see all these heavies around you when crossing the Atlantic!

Having parked A320 at a gate EKCH fully established and after that starting up PSXT the MSFS crashes to desktop. Probably some setting in PSXT is wrong, but which one can have such impact on the performance?

  3. Took my second flight with PSXT 14.5 and the new RT 11 update (assuming it's been pushed). When I landed at KATL, I saw an unexpected Ryanair B38M aircraft taxiing. Looking at the logs, somehow an aircraft registration (belonging to Egyptair) was being treated as a flight number, and then it decided to spawn a Ryanair aircraft with a route label completely on the other side of the world... sorry to report this one-off if it's noise, but wanted to raise awareness in case something like this is happening to others. When I pulled these logs, both the aircraft EI-IGY and SU-GEH were currently positioned in Egypt and Portugal IRL, respectively Spoiler …

  4. Hi Nico, After having the sim running for a while and traffic being injected for a while, I was trying to track some aircraft movements while cold and dark at KJFK. As I saw the planes move on the ground in the RT app window, I noticed that there is about a 30-second delay between that window showing movement and then the aircraft moving in MSFS 2024. Is that by design? If so, is there a setting in the RT app or in PSXT to reduce that? I have look in both the RT settings as well as the parameters.xml file for PSXT, but nothing jumped out to me. If not, is there a way to delay the RT app from showing a movement that it has sent to PSXT, so that they can be displa…

  5. Started by vonSzuli,

Hi Nico! I have several questions about the new version. So far I have been using my own, modified files in the my_thirdparty folder. These files contain all the parking spaces of the given airport, I have also modified the coordinates to match the real values, so my successful parkings are much better and the planes are actually parked in the parking spaces where they are in reality. After RESET, new files are created in the my_thirdparty folder. The number of parking spaces in these files is often significantly less than the ones I modified. The coordinates do not match the real data either, so the program often modifies the parking position of the approaching aircr…

  7. Started by Zimmerbz,

Is there a setting that allows for as close to a 1:1 ratio to the real world in PSXT when used with Real Traffic? I've noticed that some airports for me are very realistic and crowded while others there are barely any planes. I use AIG and have downloaded about 24 hours of liveries so I should be covered from that standpoint

  8. Started by Uppern,

First of all, I love PSXT with real traffic and I am sorry I did not find it before. Tried SI, BATC and FSLTL and finally there is a traffic injection that is real/realistic. I am using MSFS2024 However, I have tried it a few times and read the manual but I have a couple of questions. 1. Yesterday I was just established on final and then traffic comes from the side and literally flies through/or 10 feet above me on approach. Of course have to put TCAS in TA mode. I asked PSXT tutor, but it says that traffic cannot disappear. However, I read somewhere in the forums maybe that people are mentioning something about user aircraft taking AI aircrafts place on approa…

  9. Hi Nico, I'm wondering if the Reserved Stand (my_park_airports) feature is still supported. I noticed that shortly after the archived airports were reconfigured that there were times where a gate that I had put into the my_park_airports.txt file were not being honored. LSZH,26 Even though I added the airport and stand in the file and clicked "Re-read", PSXT wrote "parking and stands okay", however upon arrival at the airport, there was an AI aircraft parked in that spot. The only way I can "remove" the plane is by taxiing into it, or using GSX's "remove AI traffic from gate" feature (which sometimes causes PSXT to immediately respawn the aircraft) Here are…

  10. Started by DaveS,

I noticed the latest archive txt has my home airport of ini KMKE only having a qf of 22. In previous weeks it was always much higher in the 40's. Is there a way psxt can not override a file if the QF is better in an earlier week? I have noticed this with other airports as well. Glipeslope/BM World KMEM has always had pretty poor data but had a qf around 30 or so at one point. Now it is only 5 thanks,

  11. I am trying to install and/or move JF (2024) from regular community folder: C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\justflight-fstraffic-module C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community\justflight-fstraffic-controlcentre to: G:\MSFS\Community Due to permissions, I cannot copy nor cut and paste either folder into the new location. JF does installer doesn't allow custom installed AFAIK. One last question: If I cannot move or custom install, what would be the correct parameter.xml entry?

  12. Hey Nico, I know that AIG and FSLTL models suffer from a bug in MSFS 2024 where planes look like they are floating due to a low LOD on the landing gear polygons. However, I was stumbling around the MSFS forums and came across this post from a vPilot dev where he discovered a workaround. By setting the simvar for gear extension percentage to 1% before sending a gear-down event, he claims that this workaround has mitigated the problem. Others claim they now see landing gear from that workaround in the vPilot beta release. * https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/too-strict-lod-rule-on-aircraft-landing-gears-culling-of-aircrafts-gear/709715/231 Just curious - is…

  13. Hi Nico, I'm wondering about the function of some of the subfolders of the "airports" directory. Would it be safe to assume that the "learned" and "snapshots" folders can be deleted after 14.5 becomes available?

  14. Hi Nico, I notice flying in certain parts of the world and over oceans that the traffic pops in and out at times due to limitations of receiving data in those areas, thus RT loses the granular data and basically removes the flight. This causes PSXT to remove the aircraft suddenly and then pops it back in, like a light switch being turned off and on sometimes. 😄 I would like to make a suggestion based on how Flightradar24 works with air traffic on its maps. A quote from their settings: ”An aircraft's position can be estimated for up to 240 minutes after it exits Flightradar24's coverage area.” In these settings, the user can choose to have the aircraft…

  16. Started by G-YMML1,

After 3 weeks of intensive testing I have to say that this is the pinnacle of the development. AI movements, overall flows are amazingly smooth. Moreover, PSXT itself is super stable, those ugly restarts I had been suffering since February 2025 are fully gone. One small bug that I've never seen before - during initial load of PSXT some live planes became frozen and never disappear, even after "collision" with other plane. It's usually no more than 2-3 planes per initial load, so not a big deal after all. An option to remove planes (BATC has it) would be welcome at some point of time. Again, thanks a lot, Nico.

I have never had this happen but today when starting PSXT, I get an error. 533: output\liveriesscanned.xml does not contain liveries. I haven't changed anything so I am not sure what this is, how this happened, and what needs to be done to fix. Can someone advise? Thanks!

  19. Started by mmcmah,

Hi Nico, It used to be possible to enable fly-over airports as long as you were below an altitude (which you could set). Crucially, if I recall correctly, once enbled this worked for all airports within a lateral range (maybe just one at a time, but it would pick the most logical airport, perhaps by size/proximity). As I understand the current logic, it still works somewhat the same, except that the airports being flown over need to show up in the parking file in order to be populated. So it seems that there's no way to get parked traffic in unvisited or non-3rd party airports as you traverse a country. Is that correct? If so, would there be any chance to …

  20. Hi Kiek, first of all, thank you very much for PSXT and for the continuous updates and improvements you keep delivering. It’s really appreciated. I would like to ask for your help regarding a license issue I’m experiencing between RealTraffic and PSXT. When I run PSXT while RealTraffic is running (connected/logged in), everything works fine and the license is correctly recognized. However, if I try to run PSXT in standalone mode, it does not recognize my RealTraffic license, even though the license code in the RealTraffic file/page is exactly the same. PSXT reports that no valid code is found. I have double-checked the code and also tried the PSXT Chat…

  21. Started by mmcmah,

In the most recent version, I seem to be getting jittery movements of the aircraft. They move smoothly for a second or two (sometimes more) and then they skip forward a bit before repeating the process. I don't know if it was just tonight (and therefore possibly an RT stream issue), but it happened at all the airports I spawned into (KDEN, EGCC, VHHH) while trying to sort out if it was a recurring issue. Is anyone else seeing the planes move less smoothly?

  22. How is it that the aircraft injected by PSXT takeoff and land much more realistically than in beyondatc and sayintentions? I gotta tip my hat off to PSXT especially on the landing. Because the aircraft actually flare and land softly.

  23. i noticed on the new version there is no longer a method to just type in the callsign to block. At first i thought it was a great idea and much easy, until i landed at eddf as AAL704 and i already knew there was a real world 777 AAL705 already parked at E2. when i tried a refresh of clicking the "aircraft button" to show the list after landing the AAL705 was not showing in the list. I figured it was likely too far from the stand. when i taxi closer i saw the AC at the gate and clicked the "aircraft button" to hopefully refresh the list but same thing AC callsign did not show. So i had to taxi through the AC to get rid of it. now im wishing to have the manual type function…

  24. Started by mike stryczek,

I am observing quite drastic improvement in aircraft behavior in the air and on the ground There used to be big problem of aircraft pumping up and down, extremely annoying. The way I understand it was because of low quality of data coming from RT. In V14 I haven’t yet seen that behavior so I’m suspecting that Niko has put a lot of time in smoothing out data points or RT quality have drastically improved. It used to be very immersion killer, seeing aircraft, jumping up and down on a descend or even in level flight and now it almost is as good as it used to be in the beginning . Congratulation, Niko and highly appreciate it how you’re cons…

  25. Hi Nico, I'm running PSXT on the MSFS machine, and RealTraffic on a networked machine. I get traffic injection no problem, however, the PSXT/RealTraffic app does not sync with sim time. I have the "Simulator Controls time offset" selected in the advanced options in RealTraffic, but the time remains static in the RT app. It seems that PSXT is not sending Sim Time to the networked app. Sim Time sync does work in PSXT, though, using RT Direct.
