690B TURBO COMMANDER FSX | P3D

  1. Started by bdenny20,

Instead of two wing tanks, the model has one center tank. Incorrect. Won't work on FSEconomy with that config, please fix.

  2. The paint kit for this aircraft, as for the Shrike and the Cessna that I have from Carenado, is a nightmare to work with except for the most basic of designs. Can someone at Carenado please have a look at what PMDG do with their paint kits??!! Having said that, I enjoy their aircraft and have done a few liveries for the Shrike, and this fictional Commander 690B with an update to Ansett Australia's last livery circa 2001. I use it for flying regional routes in Australia or to and from nearby islands. https://www.dropbox.com/s/zjrmm3ww1qzer20/TurbCommander690B.bmp?dl=0 Fictional Ansett Australia livery for Commander 690B

  3. Appears AVSIM hasn't yet a sub-section for the 210. I bought the plane in 2013 and have recently been seeing references to a V4 for it. Looking at Carenado's site, they show something about a V2, V3, and v4 in the blurb about features. Looking at their update section however, comes up blank. 1. Can someone confirm the aircraft has in fact, been updated to V4? 2. Is v4 for FSX or only another platform? 3. What does the update consist of comparing to an early release? Thank you, kindly. Tom

Finally able to install the GTN unit and have discovered that everything seems to function as it should with the exception of the HOME button. Pressing it, causes a CTD. Just wanted to bring it up. I'll look through the Flight1 boards. Tom

Can anyone confirm that the LITE version is just lower resolution textures? That's what I'm guessing but didn't notice any specific announcement. Vic

I feel really dumb but I have looked all over this airplane. I was flying in weather the other day over colorado with temps in the teens to 20's and My airspeed went dead, I tried to find the switch for pilot tube heat in any variation but was unable to find it. Can you direct me where to look; Thanks

Hello everyone- I just picked up this airplane and am still getting familiar with it. Excuse my ignorance, i'm fairly new to learning these types of smaller planes. Is there a V/S adjuster on the autopilot at all to bring you up to your cruising altitude? Or do you have to hand fly until the wanted altitude is reached? Thanks, Zach

I love this Aerocommander and I've been waiting for it since FS2004. Now I found some bugs. Clock is missing hands HP Limit ON-OFF test button is not working DME is showing NAV 1 in the 3 selector. (DME1- DME freq- DME2 should have) What is " Hide copilot"? On the paint scheem says Dash-10 but the flying performance is not for a Dash-10. Other than these bugs. I like it.

I've had them all over the decades though have been waiting since I was a fetus for a visually stunning Turbo Commander ~ One that actually, does what it's supposed to do; with true, HD textures on top of it all. While at work up on the face of a skyscraper in Seattle yesterday, I received an alert (just as each of you Rockwell nuts did) from Carenado via email regarding the release of the LONG anticipated 690B. I wiped my drive last night just to give this aircraft its full due on day one of release. It is, stunning, indeed. I can smell the coffee and leather. Carenado got the lines just right and the polished aluminum on those Garretts makes me smile. I only wish t…

I cannot select altitude in 100's, only thousands with the altitude select on the A/P, no matter what I try, left or right or center clicks. And the clock doesn't work. All else seems OK. The performance charts only show long range power and fuel flows (eg, for 300HP). My flight tonight I had 405HP and fuel flows of 244PPH, at FL230, much higher TAS than charts show. JCH

Anybody else have the "door" light on even when the door is closed? Thanks, Bill Disregard, I found the "door lock" switch and that took care of it.
