Why is no one complaining about the landing lights on the 690B, i get no illumination on ground with this plane, all other airplanes works great but not this one, the plane itself works fine in p3dv4.2 but i got no landing lights illuminating the ground in front of the plane, i see they are on in the outside view. i dont understand why, i use orbx global, OpenLC EU, OpenLC NA, Trees HD, EU Norway, and PTA 2.61

Hi, Carenado has obviously forgotten to equip his 690 with a NAV1/NAV2 swap switch to select the DME source. Is there a way to link the DME to NAV2, instead of NAV1? Thank you.

I have looked for an operating manual/user guide for this model in all my Carenado and TurboCommander folders, but can only find performance tables, emergency procedures, normal checklists, references, Garmin users guide, GTN750 integration, and recommended settings documents. Can anyone point my to a user's guide for the new cockpit in the 690B? Many thanks,

Does anyone notice when you advance the throttle's on take off the engines sounds rev up then they hit a flat spot like they de-accelerate for a couple of seconds then continue to increase. Boy if I was in the real plane and heard that on take off I would be rather concerned!! Cheers Martin

On a short VFR flight from CYSJ to KBGR all appeared normal. As I approached KBGR it was becoming darker so switched on my Panel Lights using my Saitek Switch Panel. This resulted in the flight freezing up and while Task Manager showed P3D V3 still running I was unable to continue my flight. Has me beat. Any suggestions? Bob

I will not post a picture yet but the wing strobes and all other lights are perfect. The tailfin beacon light is or has a strobe that is 3 or 4 white boxes from smaller to 6 feet aircraft size. There was this problem awhile back on another Carenado aircraft and someone said to go into EFFECTS and rename ________? to ________? something and that fixed it. Has anyone else had this problem . FSX sp2 windows 8.1

Would someone please explain to me how the Altitude Selector works in the 609B? Not being able to find any definitive directions issued by Carenado, I thought it might be a United Instruments 5506L Altitude Selector and would function like the altitude selector which is coupled to the Collins AP-106 in the Twin Otter.: 1. Dial in a altitude using the knob provided on the selector 2. Turn on the Collins AP-106 leaving it in "manual mode" and establish a ascend/descend pitch using the controls located on the center console 3. Push the "Alt Alert" button beside the altitude selector The altitude selector will alert you twice prior to reaching the selecte…

I have encountered something that I thought I would pass along in case someone else has run into the same thing and can't seem to work around it. First, let me set this story up: You've purchased and installed the Flight1 "complete" package and have used the configuration software found in the Carenado 690B aircraft subfolder to place the GTN 750 in the cockpit panel of the 690B. Everything appears OK and you've successfully completed several flights utilizing GPS flight plans and approaches. You now attempt to approach an airport and land the 690B, hand-flying it and using the locally provided ILS and GS for assistance only to find out the GTN 750 refuses to c…

Have had this on 2 flights now. (P3D v4) Power to the Avionics cuts out of nowhere during the flight. In the switches section, Avionics switches are still "on" I think one was following an internal view change. Anyone else had this?? T45

Is there anyone that could help with my question ...? Lately the Carenado aircraft, on my rig at least, have terrible FPS. I have a very decent setup with a 1070GTX and with FPS locked at 30, it pretty much holds steady at 30 even with the PMDG aircraft. But if I go to same airport ... let's take KIDA airport from Turbulent Designs ... and park the PMDG B738 on the tarmac the FPS hover between 29 and 30 while locked at 30. Now you startup with the 690B TURBO COMMANDER {LITE} and the FPS is 20-22 FPS. Throw in real weather with clouds and rain and the PMDG drop to 27-29 (still locked at 30) whil the 690TC drops below 20 and hardly breaks the 20 barrier. While ta…

Hi folks, just took the plunge and am enjoying the new commander very much. As you know, the included MFD has a "weather" radar mode, but it won't even paint a heavy thunderstorm 5 miles in front of me. In any event, I was wondering if anyone has had any luck putting the Advantage Radar in place of the MFD. I saw some 3d knobs, so I wasn't sure if it would look right if I just plugged the Advantage in. So, anyone tried it yet? Any luck? Thx, Scott

I just purchased and installed the 690B (v1.1) in FSX. I noted that my graphics card was being challenged even in the Lite version. Checking the .mdl files it seems that the full version and Lite version are both the same size. I thought the Lite interior.mdl should be much smaller than the full version. Anyone else notice this? What file size is the Lite Versions interior.mdl in your installation? Jesse Cochran

Carenado! Thank you for finally modeling the disappearance of the pilots after all shut down and static elements turned on!!!! I used to get so annoyed looking at my parked plane, and some guy still sitting inside it while it was being made ready to put into the hangar. I hope this is going to remain part of all their new models. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Hi all, I have followed this forum with extra interest. A while ago I stopped buying Carenado aircraft because they always contained the same bugs/issues and most of them were/are quite silly. Nevertheless this seems a nice aircraft so I'm considering to buy. I still do realize Carenado system model department isn't the best in the industry, but maybe the Commander is worth buying. So, what is the verdict after the service pack? Egbert
