C441 CONQUEST II FSX | P3D

General discussion, questions and comments for the C441 CONQUEST II FSX | P3D

  1. Started by whamil77,

I have extensively modified the Conquest in an effort to improve the simulation. Included in the mods: 1. Fixed the taxi speed problem 2. Updated sound file with freeware sounds 3. Correct startup and shutdown sequence (using XMLTools) 4. FDE for both -8 and -10 engines 5. Added clickspots for Autopilot and GTNs 6. Yaw Damper actually works. If you would like to give it a try, send me a PM.

This is another plea to anyone out there in the AVSIM community that has the C441 Conquest Mods v1 (Or later) by Whamil77 to please share them. The link in previous posts no longer works. Help! Thanks

Just flew the C441 again after quite a long break. Firstly I couldn't find any fuel tank selectors, apart from the x-feed switch on the lower left of the panel. (Maybe there aren't any on the real aircraft). Secondly, the NAV2 gauge seems to indicate the ILS glideslope in the wrong direction so, when below the glideslope, the needle points downwards and vice-versa, in direct contradiction to the NAV1 HSI, which is correct. I couldn't see any posts about these issues on the forum, so I thought I'd ask!

OK, I'm an word not allowed. I drive the Flysimware Garrett planes that have start locks modeled, but I cannot for the life of me get this Alabeo plan to disengage the start locks. Please, what's the trick that I'm missing? I should mention that I have been moving the throttles to beta over and over, leaving them there for years, and the "word not allowed" locks won't disengage. I'm using Bill's mod.

Hello I am asking those familiar with the type/add-on. I am planning to purchase Alabeo's C441. Could you please let me know the following: Can you kill the engine by firewalling the throttle for long durations? When flaring, does it behave like Carenado planes, i.e. just falls out of the skies at stall without any buffeting, like a brick or something? Would you recommend this plane to a pro-simmer, or it is just for eye-candy lovers? Many thanks in advance Cheers Csaba

The autopilot "on" light on the 441 annunciator panel does not light up even though the a/p is "on" and working via a "Z" on the keyboard. HDG, NAV, ALT, FD, VOR1/2 all light up in the expected white colour but a/p stays unlit. Does anyone have an answer to this please? Thank you for any fix.

I have just purchased a new higher spec computer. I had Alabeo C441 Conquest II running fine on my old one running FSX-SE. My new one also has FSX-SE and runs all the other installed aircraft OK including the Flysimware C441. I installed the Alabeo one using the Alabeo installer and pointed it to D: Program Files (86x) Steam steamapps common FSX-SE. It appears in available aircraft but when I open it on the runway at KTNP I can see thru the instrument panel to the runway surface. The actual instruments seem suspended in mid air. Also the elevator does not move when I operate my joystick but the ailerons do. Settings Controls show it is correctly configured and it w…

  9. Since upgrading from P3D 4.3 to 4.4, I'm no longer able to start the 441 using whamil77 and he seems to be unavailable. If I disable his engine xml file, I get the normal Carenado/Alabeo start. Just get a hung start at around 30% with Bill's mod. See the same issue on the 690B. Anyone else with the issue? cheers, steve

Hello all fellow 441 flyers. Anyone else have an issue where your altimeter suddenly jumps up when passing FL190/FL200? Around that range mine jumps a good 2 to 3 thousand feet. GPS altitude doesn't change, only pressure. I have to descend back down to FL170 before it will read correctly again. Only does it in this aircraft.

She wont go above 250 kts...I think this plane is supposed to do 300kts at FL220 Both the Flight 1 and Flysimware do 300.

  13. One repaint available for the 441... kind of a cool scheme. More to follow, time-permitting. I will upload this to the library over the next few days, but PM me in the mean time for a download link...I usually respond within a couple hours if it's the weekend.

got back in FSX after a 2 year hiatus. Running Steam now and so far so good Expanding my fleet of GA birds. Aside from the Duke T and the 310R Alabeo This is my new favorite. The 441 climbs out and handles great. Worth it just for the Avidyne alone. The GTN 750 and an Avidyne are an unbeatable combination. Everything in this 441 works! The autopilot does what commanded. Everything is predictable and the knobs are easy to find and tune.. The documentation is a little weak as I have no idea where to set these conditioners.

Hi, have you the same experience that taxiing this plane is quite difficult?. It leaves the parking position like a rocket, without applying any power, and you should apply a lot of braking to get the wild horse under control, if any?. Cheers, Ed

Hi, I've had some enjoyable flights when starting with "Ready to Taxi", but when I try the "Cold and Dark", the engines start, but go to maximum towque and don't respond to the throttles. I' doing my best to follow the checklist, but I'm obviously doing something wrong. This is the FSX version and I'm using a CH throttle quadrant. I've tried placing the throttles momentarily in reverse, both before and after start, but no difference. What am I doing wrong? Dale

Hi I know it's only minor, but the strobes on the 441 are either not flashing or sometimes they show for a couple of flashes then stop. Odd thing is that they show flashing on the ground textures, but only below the wings. I am using fsx steam running in dx10 with the steves fixer. All other aircraft are ok. Any suggestions or is it a fault. Thanks Anthony

Just noted on facebook there is a new version ..1.3 Fixes: - The aircraft now is not moving if you release the brakes and throttles on idle.... - NAV, COM and ADF turns on with the avionics master instead of turning on individually. - Barber pole corrected. - Fixes an issue that was causing the Oxygen indication was always 0. - Prop sync switch is working correctly now. - Torque indicators adjusted. - Minor bugs fixes. bob

Shouldn't the prop sync be working on an aircraft like this? The switch doesn't work at all.

The "Barber Pole" is wrong on the 441. At -40 degrees C/FL 280 it shows IAS limit of 170 KIAS (263 KTAS) which equates to M 0.44.....WELL below the 0.55 limit for the airplane. The simulation is throttle limited at FL 280, which I can assure you it is not in reality, especially without -10 engines. It is and has been wrong on most Carenado/Albeo turbine products. Question is....where is that calculation held for Carenado/Albeo products? I can't find it in any of the gauges. I would like to correct it but can't find it.

    Started by Guest Tango777,

Just curious if anyone else has these problems: If I am on the ground long enough with the C441 while not running an engine, the batteries discharge very quickly. So I switch to another airplane (FSX default airplane, Cessna 172 or Ultralight) quickly and then I quickly switch back to the C441. I can then turn on every instrument including Alabeo's Avidyne MFD which turns on automatically, and default C441's radios when I turn them on, but the Flight1 GTN750 will not turn back on automatically as it should. Alabeo support has gone quiet on this problem as they e-mail me back by talking about other problems that the C441 has thereby ignoring the problem. This does not …
