PA44 SEMINOLE FSX | P3D

Hi, Avsim! I had been wanting to get and try Alabeo's Piper Seminole since they published it on their Facebook page. I'm also grateful they released both an analoge and electronic instrument panel. I purchased it on the day of release and I've been testing it with real-life maneuvers and procedures. I'm using a 1995 Piper Seminole Information Manual, because it's the model they've made. I flew a Beechcraft Duchess for my commercial multi-engine certification, but I've always loved the Seminole. Greetings, I have been encountering a problem lately. Every time that I click on the Garmin 530 in order to enlarge it, my simulator session crashes. Aside from that, there seems to be no other problem with the PA44 add-on. Only when clicking on the Garmin 530 does the sim come to an end. Thus, there seems to be a something amiss with it. I have P3D v5 1.0, multiple Orbx products, SPAD.Next, Active Sky, and many other add-ons. However, it does not matter whether whether I use most of these programs or not. Hi.... i just purchased the PA44 and noticed that at night from the cockpit view the landing lights are not visible but from outside view they are & also the adf could not be tuned.....i have installed it twice with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks Michael

Looked around a bit for a different sound pack but not much luck . The free version of Milton Shupes Beech 18 has a sound pack in it that will go head to head with any pay ware sound but it doesn't match up for the Seminole. Louis cyyc

I've owned this plane since it came out. I really like the option of switching to the G600. I just had to reinstall FSX/Acceleration on my machine, the old one was clogged with gremlins. Problem is, after doing a fresh reinstall of the Seminole right from my account in Carenado the G600 option does nothing. I looked at the config file and couldn't see anything obviously wrong. Any guesses? I might add that last week it worked fine, before the reinstall. Same machine same settings so I won't bore you with my specs.

Hi. Try as I might I just can't get the engines running from the C&D setting. It's okay from the default view it gets left in but when I use the C&D nothing I've done will get the engines to fire up and I'm left with the Ctl+E

Hi all, has someone been able to repaint, or possibly locate an ATP repaint for the PA44 Seminole? If not, it'd be greatly appreciated if someone could make one for me and the rest of us here at ATP.

I've asked Alabeo directly already, but no usefull reply, except for the usual "we don't have one": Has anyone of you who possibly started painting the Seminole successfully created a master file? I find it impossible to successfully paint my flightschools livery. The vertical stripes are impossible to paint because in the Alabeo pain(t)kit there is not a single straight line... everything is bent some way...

I just may be missing something here but I don't see a way to get the plane to load with the G600 panel as default. Even if I save a flight and reload that it always comes up with the six pack. Does anyone know if there is a way to change that?

Not quite sure about the autopilot... when flying in VS mode, it takes two pushes on the ALT button to switch to ALT hold mode. That does not seem right..

Just purchased and installed the G600 from Flight1. Totally amazing.. works together with the GTN750 and provides a great glass cockpit experience.. Going to have a lot of fun tomorrow

I'd picked this up a few months back, but just installed and flew for the first time yesterday (P3DV4 with the latest release from Alabeo). I'm flying a steam gauge version with RXP's 530 v2 installed. One thing I struggled with right off is that this plane seems quite difficult to lean. The EGT needles barely move even with large mixture changes, and "leaning by ear" is also dicey as there doesn't seem to be much affect on performance either. Most FSX/P3D planes are overly sensitive to mixture compared to their RW counterparts, but this one seems the exact opposite. Is anyone else experiencing this? Scott

I'm wondering what I've missed. I have a pilot, a front passenger (170 lbs. ea.) and no baggage. The tanks are both full. The Seminole has started to fly crooked (apparently unbalanced) with the right wing dipping down constantly. Does anyone have any idea what I should check? Thanks P3DV4

Alabeo has released the V4 version, and since we do not have a GTN750 to go in it, we are stuck with its GNS530 for a while. I've fixed it up a bit, so that the knobs operate nicely with the mouse wheel, and I have turned off the Airspace messages. Also included are my autopilot fixes. Let me know via PM (include your email) if you would like a replacement panel folder.

Can anyone with experience with the Seminole please comment on if the Alabeo Seminole flies correctly by the numbers? I have found some training materials and would like to use correct speeds and power settings. Do they match up with the real thing?

Has anyone created the panel config that would install the Flight 1 GNS430 into the panel for the Seminole? It would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Wonder if it would be possible by copying and renaming the ac folder to have two different versions of the ac One with the glass/rxp 530 cockpit The other steam/gns 750 cockpit Any ideas ?

Left a message over at the carenado support forum, but looks like they are a little snowed under. I get this error about 'Error opening file for writing' have tried admin rights, changing folder perms. anyone come across it? Carenado support ticket comment. (Purchased the new PA44 seminole yesterday and went to install it on my win8.1 machine using P3dV3. After selecting the p3dv3 install directory i had a few error screens pop up saying 'Error opening file for writing' with a font directory first and then a heap of others. The G500/600 has a magenta ground track marker on the HSI. Was this purposely not included in the Seminole?

HDG bug and GS ball - is this normal? I've flown in a similar model Seminole and I can't recall if they are supposed to be unlit

Hi there, one question: The DME KN 62A is connected to the NAV1 when in frequency mode? No separate freq available. This is a bug, isn´t it? Thanks and regards EDHE
