C404 advanced physics 1. Why I developed the advanced physics version I was asked via this forum, via PMs and also by e-mails to provide a modified version of the Alabeo C404 which can be used for serious multi-engine training. It should have accurate type specific performance for both AEO (all engine operative) and OEI (one engine inoperative), the latter for either a windmilling prop at various speeds and for a feathered engine. Feathering should work as realistic as possible. Thus, I developed an advanced physics version of the Alabeo C404. Since I regularly do fly a C421C in real world and the C404 was available on P3D / FSX before the C421 w…

Has anyone had issues using the Alabeo C404 for Prepar3D v4 with Prepar 3D v5.1? I keep having it crash to desktop after screen freeze a few minutes into the flight. The last one threw an error that my video card quit working, although I saw no evidence of that.

I find that the bumpy taxy is a bit annoying. Is there a way to reduce/eliminate it? Thanks.

Downloaded it and ADF, DME, NAV2, and Audio as well as WX screen were non functional. Bought the C421 and now my avionics work in the Titan except for the WX radar. Turns out the Steam DLC was configured to use the C421 radios without including the C421 gauge files which I moved over to the Steam DLC gauge folder. I will attempt to use the C340 WX radar configuration to get that to turn on.

New purchase about a weel ago. Kinda figured out most systems. What I havent figured out was how to hook with an ILS. First, I know I have the freqs correct. Now, whats the procedure to get the system to recognize the ILS & then hook up to the glidescope.

Ok, with all of the negative comments, I was really unsure about this plane. I bit the bullet and bought it anyway. I just completed my first flight from Tupelo to Nashville at 15,000 feet. It flies like a dream. Autopilot gave me no trouble at all. Maybe you all should quit nitpicking tiny things. This isn’t supposed to be a study level aircraft. This is after all a game.

After having reinstalled FSX I did some flights with the C404 Titan. I noticed, that there is an ADF, but the knob is not working. So you can't adjust a new NDB. And there is a DME too, but you can't switch over to NAV2. Is this so, or did I something wrong?

I know it is not native, but has anyone had any success integrating it into the VC? Using the RXP install and then converting it with the F1 tool gives you working buttons and popup but the screen is blank.

Real Engine 1.4 (Goggle, dload at Sim Outhouse) is sweet mod that will make you a better manager of your engines. I'm late to the party on RE, but thought I'd post info I found on the C404. This is the table from Teledyne: I'm working on the entries for the C404 for RE, but there are a few I have no clue what they should be, Like Maximum Continuous MP lean, or rich. Max Cont RPM lean, or rich. And all the METO settings. Anyone familiar with typical operating temp, and or behaviors for this ac?? The parameters set by Alebeo are a little off.. max RPM is 2700 for example, and MP is 36,5, not 40. My RE Par File: [Config] MaxValues=57 [Floats] // ***…

Hello! I've been flying a lot with this aircraft recently, and would like to use it in PFPX, but I simply do not know enough to make the profile and performance file for this aircraft. Does anyone have one made already?

First off, forgive for I have sined. I had swore for numerous reasons to never support Alabeo/Carenado no more. But the Titan was just too tempting, and essentially the perfect plane for my fligt simming habits. Ans so far, I am enjoying it and could be a very solid product once the fews bugs are fixed. Currently flying a Cape air route between Massena and Albany, and cruising at 10 000 with a nice 190 knots GS. With the ap now on, i have a few spare moments, so I wonder if this would be the appropriate spot to start asking our many talented painters for some requests? I think a lot of Titan pilots would enjoy a Cape Air repaint. Understanding they fly 402s, b…

I purchased the following 3 from FSS. Still waiting for them to update the installers for P3Dv4. I have downloaded each to see if they are new installers but they are not. C404 TITAN GEE BEE MODEL Z Waco YMF5 I see that Aerosoft has already updated.

Hello, I enjoy this AC and most others from this maker, however one thing bothers me and that is i have to go in to the windows manager and manually change the VC Wndows and Instrument Reflections setting each time I fly the AC. Is there a way to permanently change them I prefer them off by default? If there is no way to make this change then is there a macro file of some other work around that I could use? Regards, Tom

I'm having this issue with power loss on both engines, several times during a flight with the C404 in P3D v3.4. It seems like the manifold pressures drop slowly back to almost idle for what seems like a lengthy period of time. I have Pitot heat on, fuel pump on, mixtures back up to rich and it will eventually regain power. I've looked at P3D's failure settings and nothing is selected. I do have the "engine stress damages engine" checked under Realism but since it comes back, I wouldn't think this is a issue. Has anyone else experienced this?

I've had the Alabeo C404 for quite a while now and used it successfully in both FSX boxed and P3D v3.3. I noticed that the cylinder head temps were low and the CG was always out of the envelope toward the nose. But it flew well so I lived with these irritants. I recently did a complete software rebuild (reformatted drive) with a fresh install of Prepar3D v3.4. I did a fresh download of the Alabeo C404 and installed it. My first flight with the C404 with my normal takeoff trim set at the bottom of the T/O area resulted in an excessively nose high attitude and required most of the forward elevator to bring the climb under control. When in level cruise, the elevator tri…

The C404 Titan has no OAT gauge. Silly, but true. I mailed Alabeo about this. They wrote back that they are aware of this, and promissed an update, whenever that will be. I did not like to wait (probably until 'forever') and solved the problem in my own way. I downloaded the Davtron 301 and 307 OAT. Available at this link. It took me a few emails with the author to get it working (partly a RTFM matters), but it works fine now. Like me, most simmers think that icing is not active in FSX, so why need an OAT? Only when you forget carburettor or pitot heat, you have to deal with that. That is not true, as I discovered. So I also downloaded an ICE GAUGE from the avsim.net lib…

For some reason I find myself strangely drawn to it - maybe it is in part that it has GTN750 compatibility built in with steam gauges and is a larger piston twin which I don't really have anything to match - but not quite able to pull the trigger, so I thought I would see if anybody else had... Cheers, Chris B. "Flapsdown"

I managed today to install the C404 into p3d ver 3.35 without any problems. re downloaded the file ver 1.1 from Alabeo and chose the 'browse' option, (ignored the bullets for the different flightsims) Installed ok, also modified the gps to the GTN750. bob

Are there cowl flaps in this plane? if so where are they located? Where is the OAT gauge? how many does it take to crew this plane? one pilot or do you need two?
